This morning, we meet our Highland Guide for a private walking tour of Edinburgh Old Town, the Royal Mile, and Victoria Street. Later, we’ll tour the majestic Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. Today, we explore the striking beauty of Highland Perthshire. Our day begins with a relaxing and unique forest walk at the spectacular Dunkeld Hermitage. Then, we take in the scenic splendor of the Queen’s View, with an optional visit to Blair Castle & Gardens, home of clan Murray. Next, we’ll enjoy some boutique shopping in the area. We’ll pop in to a local whisky distillery to sample a wee dram, then we make our way through Cairngorm National Forest, to Inverness for hotel check-in and dinner at a fantastic local-favorite restaurant.

We begin our day with a city tour of Inverness, where our guide explains its rich and fascinating history. Then, we visit the infamous and deeply moving Battlefield of Culloden of 1746, which changed the Highland way of life forever. Next, we explore the prehistoric Clava Cairns, otherworldly 4,000-year-old standing stones and ring cairns. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a beautiful round-trip driving tour of Loch Ness. We start our day with a picturesque drive through the beautiful Glenelg area. We make our way to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, perched on its own small island, it’s a place of breathtaking beauty and rich history. Afterward, we take the dramatic bridge over to the Isle of Skye, where we spend a relaxing evening dining with beautiful Skye views.

We begin an exciting day on Skye, with a visit to the otherworldly Fairy Glen. Our explorations continue as we discover the island’s iconic locations, including The Quiraing, Kilt Rock, the Old Man of Storr, and Lealt Falls. The afternoon unfolds in Portree, the vibrant capital of Skye, where we enjoy a picturesque harbor, and colorful waterfront homes. Later, we catch the ferry back to Mainland Scotland, to dine and lodge in Mallaig. Overnight in Mallaig. 

It’s a day of breathtaking scenery! This morning, we venture east to discover the picturesque shores of Loch Shiel, where the iconic Glenfinnan Monument and Viaduct await. Next, we traverse the magnificent Glencoe valley, renowned as the most visually stunning and historically rich Highland glen. Our day continues as we head towards the charming market town of Crieff, passing through the verdant landscapes of Perthshire and the enchanting Glen Lyon area. Overnight in Edinburgh.

Today’s adventure begins with a flight from Edinburgh to Dublin, transporting us to the lively hub of Ireland. Upon arrival, the afternoon is dedicated to exploring Dublin’s treasures, including the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the esteemed Trinity College, and the vibrant Temple Bar area, each a testament to the city’s cultural wealth and historical depth. Evening brings free time, allowing you to delve deeper into the city’s spirited streets and uncover its myriad charms at your own pace. Overnight in Dublin

This morning, we leave Dublin behind, and set off for the vibrant, ancient city of Kilkenny, where we’ll delve into the past at Kilkenny Castle, and stroll through Ireland’s renowned Medieval Mile. In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Waterford, immersing ourselves in the city’s captivating Viking heritage, by exploring the 10th-century Viking Triangle, and the storied Reginald’s Tower, standing for over 800 years. Tonight, try the Munster Bar or The Three Shippes for some traditional Irish music, or, cap of the day with a stroll along the picturesque quay. Overnight in Waterford.

Departing from Waterford in the morning, we journey to the Rock of Cashel, an iconic group of medieval buildings set on a limestone hill. We’ll visit the ancient cathedral and the iconic Celtic cross. The afternoon is dedicated to visiting Blarney Castle, a place of beauty and legend, where you can kiss the Blarney Stone, said to grant the gift of eloquence. Later, we arrive in Cork, the ‘food capital of Ireland’. We’ll visit the iconic English Market, trading since 1788, a buzzing hotspot in the heart of the city. From there, we’ll stroll the Grand Parade, culminating with a view of the Gothic-style National Monument. Overnight in Killarney

Departing Cork, we set off towards Kenmare, a picturesque seaside town that marks the beginning of our journey on the Ring of Kerry. This iconic loops, encircled by a winding coastal road through a landscape of towering mountains and serene lakes, offers views of unmatched beauty. Along the way, we’ll pause for lunch in one of the route’s quaint villages, soaking in the local charm. Our day of spectacular scenery concludes in Killarney, ready for an authentic Irish evening, filled with traditional pubs and local live music.

Our day concludes in Ennis, where we’ll gather for a Medieval Banquet dinner, held within the grand walls of a castle, offering an imaginative blend of gastronomy, entertainment, and ancient Irish culture.

As you stand atop these majestic cliffs, you’ll gaze over commanding ocean vistas and the rugged Irish landscape stretching into the horizon. Afterwards, we’ll stop for an engaging sheepdog demonstration, showcasing the skillful herding techniques unique to the region. This afternoon, our journey takes us back to Dublin, culminating our grand adventure with a heartfelt farewell dinner, the perfect closure before our flights back to the US the following morning.
