We begin our day with a tour of the remarkable Rosslyn Chapel. Then, we visit Stirling Castle which sits proudly on a volcanic crag, one of the most important and historic castles in Scotland. We conclude our day at the magnificent Kelpies Monument, a tribute to Scotland’s Clydesdale horses.

We will start our day with a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia. This afternoon, we will enjoy a traditional afternoon tea at the stunning Balmoral Hotel. Afterwards, we will enjoy an underground tour of Mary King's Close.

We start our day with a nice, leisurely walking tour of the historic city of Edinburgh, afterwards enjoying lunch at the Witchery, Edinburgh's most famous restaurant. This afternoon, we will visit the renowned Edinburgh Castle. 

Today we leave Edinburgh and head to the East Coast and the town of St Andrews, Scotland's home of golf, religion, and the famous university. Here we will enjoy the wonderful Cathedral and Castle before exploring the lovely old town shops and cafes; finishing off with a drive through the famous golf course. 

We will then trail to the quaint town of Falkland for a wee stroll to see the 12th century palace, those who are fans of the Outlander TV series will also recognize a number of the buildings in the town, as they were used in the filming of this series. 

We then head towards our accommodation in the heart of Scotland, the delightful Victorian town of Pitlochry. 

We spend the start of the day enjoying the glorious autumn colors of Perthshire and the Highlands. Our first stop will be the magnificent Queens view, which many consider the best viewpoint in Scotland. We will then drive through Glen Lyon with its wonderful Mountain Views and quaint villages. 

We then head down to Loch Lomond, the largest lake in Scotland, before heading down the West coast to our destination for the evening in Ayrshire.

Today we head towards the Caerlaverock Castle, a moated triangular castle, first built in the 13th century. We will then make a stop at a 15th-century Benedictine Priory, Wetheral Priory Gatehouse, before crossing the border and arriving in England.

We will then take a stunning drive into the Lakes and our destination for the evening the market town of Keswick.

Today we will enjoy a day exploring the Lakes. The diversity of the landscape is key to its beauty and significance, and includes the coast, lakes, distinctive farmland, fell, woodland, and quaint English villages. Each of the thirteen valleys of the Lake District has an individual distinctiveness based on landform, biodiversity and cultural heritage.

After exploring, we will return to Keswick to visit the Neolithic Castlerigg Stone circle before returning to your hotel. 

Today our first stop with be Grassington, this stunning little market town with its cobbled streets, market square surrounded by shops with friendly little cafes, was used in the filming of  ‘All Creatures Great and Small’; when you spend some time here, you will fully understand why. 

The next stop will be the larger, but also very impressive, market town of Skipton, and a visit to Skipton Castle. At over 900 years old, this castle is one of the best preserved medieval castles in England.

After this, we head to your accommodation for the next 3 nights, in the walled city of York.

The next two days we discover York, founded by the Romans and then occupied by the Vikings, this city has a fascinating history, stretching over 2000 years. 

We will start with a guided City bus tour, getting off to see some of the historic sights the city has to offer; including the magnificent York Minster Cathedral, Clifford’s Tower, and the City Walls. We will also allow you enough time to enjoy the fantastic shopping, including the unique Shambles, a street dating back to the 14th century, that has some fantastic shops and cafes.

Today we head North, towards Roman Vindolanda Fort & Museum, for a real step back in time. This remarkable site is a Roman Fort and village, dating from approximately 85AD, coupled with its fantastic museum that displays a huge number of well-preserved artifacts, this is a visit not to be missed.

Our next stop is Bamburgh Castle, which has stood guard above the spectacular Northumberland coastline for over 1400 years. Spanning nine acres of land on its rocky plateau, Bamburgh Castle is one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. Its more recent history shows it has been used for the filming of the Viking blockbuster, “The Last Kingdom”.

We then return to our destination for the evening, Edinburgh.
