5 days of guaranteed white water kayaking in the Scottish Highlands.
Suited for the experienced class 3+ and above kayaker looking to experience the best of Scottish summer boating. Come and enjoy all the best of summer white water in the uk and gain coaching and experience from a highly qualified and experienced coach.
Day 1 The River Moriston is and absolutely beautiful Scottish classic with plenty of drops and slides to work on your steep creeking techniques. The Moriston has several sections with everything from grade 2/3 for a nice warm up to excellent sections of grade 4 which can be broken down and lapped depending on the group desires and abilities.
Day 2 - After building confidence on day 1 we can head back for some more joy on the upper Moriston, go for chilled lap on the middle or head down to explore the lower section of the river! The taps turn off around 11am so an early start and finish could be on the cards depending on river levels and group energy!
Day 3 takes us to the nearby river Garry. A must visit for any kayaker on a Scottish summer day. With plenty of grade 3 rapids to work on techniques and challenges. Also some excellent play waves and holes to entertain and challenge for those looking to improve their hole and wave skills.
Day 4 We relocate to the East & The upper Tummelfinishes releasing at 13:00 in the afternoon and is runnable all morning. We can meet up whenever the group is ready usually a 9am start. We can then head to the best coffee spot around in Aberfeldy at the Glen Lyon Coffee shop and for those that still have energy we can head to Grandtully rapids on the Tay for a few joy laps laps and some river play.
Day 5 we stay east and hop on the lower Tummel starting with some grade 2/3 the river builds to some fun grade 3 and finishes with the always fun Lynn of Tummel and exciting double drop into Loch Faskally!
If you require accommodation we suggest looking at options close to Fort William or Fort Augustus (which is closer to the Moriston & Garry) for the night 1 & 2 of the trip. We would then recommend moving over to the east to somewhere like Pitlochry/Aberfeldy for night 3 & 4 as the Upper, Lower Tummel and Tay are located further East.
Should we have summer rainfall and other rivers become a possibility we will lay out any of these options to the group at the time.
