This trip is for one thing and one thing only: diving!

Welcome to Koh Tao — one of the most world-renowned diving destinations on the planet. Known for its warm, crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and incredible marine life, this small island in Thailand is one of the best places in the world to both learn how to dive and continue building your experience underwater. Visibility is often exceptional, conditions are ideal for beginners and certified divers alike, and if you’re lucky, you may even have the chance to encounter a whale shark! One of the ocean’s most unforgettable experiences.

This trip is operated in partnership with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), the world’s leading scuba diving training organization. With the highest global standards for safety, education, and certification, PADI is trusted by divers everywhere. Meaning whether you’re getting certified for the first time or heading out on fun dives, you’ll be learning and diving with some of the best in the industry.

Additionally, for 6 nights we will be staying at Bans Diving Resort - one of, if not THE best diving resorts on the Island!

If you’ve been saying “I’ve always wanted to get scuba certified…” then this is your moment. And if you’re already certified but craving a fun, social dive trip with an incredible group of likeminded sapphic folks, there's room for you, too!

🌊 What This Trip Looks Like

This is a dive-focused group trip, not a full Thailand tour like trips I've done in the past.

Our days will revolve around:

• Dive training (for those getting certified)

• Boat dives (for certified divers)

• Classroom sessions + skill practice

• Time in and around the ocean 🌊

If you’re doing your Open Water Certification, you’ll complete:

• 4 days of training

• 4 open water dives

• All required coursework and skills to become a certified diver

If you’re already certified, you’ll get 2 daily dives (10 total) with 3 others!

Once the dive day wraps, we shift into full island mode:

• Group dinners

• Sunset hangouts

• Beach bars & relaxed nights out

• Time to connect, unwind, and celebrate!

This trip is for a very specific kind of person... someone who wants to try something new, lean into it fully, and do it alongside a group of people who are all in it together!

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases.

1. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving.

2. The second is Confined Water Dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the gear you'll be using and practice the basic skills of diving and techniques to keep you safe.

3. The third is your Open Water Dives. This is what it's all about - you'll make your first dives in the ocean! During four dives, you'll perform various skills under water and on the surface to make sure you're a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, meaning that you will get to spend a big part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world.

As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world down to 18 meters, lifelong!

How do you get here?

-Fly to Bangkok

-Domestic flight to Koh Samui

-Ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Tao!

Typical Daily Ferry Schedule (Check Lomprayah for up-to-date, January 2027 times closer to departure):

• Morning: 08:00 (Lomprayah)

• Mid-day: 11:00/12:00/12:30 (Lomprayah, Seatran)

• Afternoon: 14:30 (Lomprayah/Lomlahkkhirin) Direct Ferries +2

Tips:

• Arrive at the pier 30–60 minutes early for check-in.

• Bring a light jacket, as the ferry air conditioning can be quite cold.

• Speedboats are generally faster, but larger ferries are often more comfortable in rough seas.

• Luggage over 20 kg may incur extra charges.

After getting checked into your room, we will all meet for our welcome dinner & drinks around 7:00pm!

For certified divers: you'll have 2 boat dives each day!

There will be Exact schedule to be solidified a couple of weeks prior to arrival as it will be weather dependent.

About Koh Tao:

This compact 21 km² island forms part of the Chumphon Archipelago on the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand. Though small, Koh Tao offers world-class scuba diving with coral-encrusted pinnacles, vibrant reefs, and fascinating shipwrecks. Stingrays and groupers patrol the depths, while lucky divers may spot whale sharks or eagle rays. Cruise along schools of chevron barracuda, yellow snapper, and big-eyed trevally, or explore the wreck of a military vessel. Top dive sites like Chumphon Pinnacle feature granite towers covered in anemones and teeming with pelagic life. With calm waters, 20–30 m visibility, and thriving marine biodiversity, scuba diving in Koh Tao promises unforgettable underwater adventures!

For scuba students (this is Sydney included!)

Course starts on Jan 26th  and will last 3 to 4 days (this will depend on every individual student) and how quickly they move through the lessons.

For Divers: You'll have your last 2 dives today!

For Students: We will be done by this point with our certification. We can add on optional open water dives (if available) or have a free day to relax and hang out on the island!

Everyone: ~6:30pm we will all meet for our farewell dinner!

NOTE: you CANNOT FLY within 24 hours of your final dive. While this will be our goodbye dinner, if you have chosen to dive today, note that you cannot fly out for 24 hours past coming up from your dive. Please plan accordingly with your own post travel plans to ensure you are compliant with these rules.
