We highly recommend completing the e-learning portion before arriving in Cancun to maximize your time and experience. Your first day begins at 8 a.m. with a review of the theory you’ve studied at home. You’ll then learn how to set up your gear before starting pool training, where you’ll practice essential skills in a controlled environment. This foundational work will prepare you for two shallow ocean dives in the afternoon, where you’ll explore the MUSA, underwater museum and a nearby reef, reaching a maximum depth of 30 feet.

We will be back to the departure marina around 4.00 pm

If we complete the pool training on day one, we’ll dive in the morning on the second day. If additional pool practice is needed, we’ll schedule the ocean dives for the afternoon of the second day.

To sign up for the Open Water course, you will have to complete a medical form beforehand. People with certain medical conditions, such as asthma,  diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart conditions,  may not be eligible to dive and will need to obtain medical  authorization from their doctors before engaging in any diving  activities. Pregnant women can not participate.

For safety, we recommend waiting at least 18 hours after your last dive before flying.
