Itinerary

VILLAGE 1️⃣
Quang Phu Cau Village

We’ll start at the stunning Quảng Phú Cầu village as very recently seen on National Geographic. Incense sticks are lit in temples & local houses everywhere in Vietnam... find out why and take in the beauty of the bamboo sticks laying in the streets to dry.

Not only that, but we'll take you to the factory that mass produces incense sticks to export around Vietnam and other areas of South East Asia. Bring your cameras because today is going to be a colorful day.
NOTE: If it does rain then there may not be as many on show outside but no stress... we have a backup 🌧️

I love Vietnam. 'Way to Travel' is a fabulous company to experience the beauty and joy with. From the wonderful Jane making all the arrangements effortless to the fabulous tour guide Mr T who has a wealth of information about his beautiful country. It is humbling to give back and just makes the whole adventure that much better.

This was a fabulous jam-packed fast-paced adventure. Immaculately organised with so many different things to see and do. I liked the wide variety of transport and places it covered. Highlights were cycling through the rice paddy fields at sunset, the boat trips through stunning scenery and caves and the personal stories from our tour guide Mr T showing the Vietnamese people’s spirituality and faith through their history. Helping a local family by replacing a chicken coop and building a toilet and tiling the floor felt in complete alignment with the tours values throughout - transforming a local families life. Fantastic fun and a great insight into Vietnams food, history geography and culture.

This creatively crafted and finely organized introduction to the culture and language of Vietnam is a not-to-be-missed experience that combines cultural events and activities and one-on-one interaction with local people. For me, the personal contact was especially interesting and gratifying. I enjoyed events like the visits to the primary school and the disabled workers institute, but the highlight of the whole experience were the three days we we laboured with local builders to improve the living conditions of a poor family comprising mother, father and three children. Among other things, we added a concrete chicken coop and an indoor bathroom to their home. It was hard work, but also an exhilarating experience that left everyone in the group with, to say the least, a profound sense of satisfaction! I enjoyed this trip immensely and have no reservations in recommending it to others.

This trip to Vietnam was outstanding! We had so many diverse experiences, saw amazing sites, ate delicious food and enjoyed it all with a wonderful group of new friends. The giveback project was so satisfying and lifechanging for us and the local family...it was good to come home knowing we left something valuable behind. Our guide Charlie was attentive, fun, and always ready to make each experience the best one yet!

I was on the March 2024 Tour. it was an amazing experience. Mr. T was amazing! He had gone above and beyond in his expertise of his beautiful homeland of Vietnam. The Volunteer Project was alot of work but fun too. it made us feel so good in what we did to enhance the lives of a local village family. On this tour we saw many beautiful sights, fantastic food tour, a couple of performances, and made new friendships! I plan to return next year to spend more time at their beautiful beaches! Thank you so much to Jane and Mr. T! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

If you're looking for a fun-filled jam packed adventure, exploring Vietnam from the North in Hanoi to the South in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekgong Delta and south in-between then this tour company, does it all? Way to Travel is definitely your choice of tour company which also includes some give back to the community projects that will leave your heart so full that you were able to help in a small way change the life of a local family. Tuan and Jane have taken care of every detail that you could imagine. From walking tours of each city and exploring local markets, visiting pagodas to recommendations for massages, laundry services and evening dinners. Our guide Tuan went above and beyond assisting everyone in any way needed. Tuan's knowledge of the history of each area was an incredible way to hear and learn about the history and culture of this amazing country. Our transportation and accommodations were all excellent, roomy AC mini buses to transport us to next location and even an overnight train to central Vietnam. Boats, buses, trains, rickshaws, electric cars, scooters, bicycles and plane to Ho Chi Minh City if you do the add on. Each day was filled with so much variety, cruising and kayaking Halong Bay, electric cars to ride basket boats to cooking classes in the north, central and south to riding in rickshaws and biking amongst the rice fields to climbing 455 steps to the top of Dragon Mountain. If you arrive early Jane has a special tour of her local villages, incense factory, traditional conical hat making and lunch with a local family and more. Whether your traveling solo or with someone you will be treated with such care by this amazing team. Don't hesitate to book now you will come away changed for the better and your heart with definitely be full of the sights and sounds of the people and landscape of Vietnam with memories that will last forever.
