Quang Phu Cau Village

We’ll start at the stunning Quảng Phú Cầu village as very recently seen on National Geographic. Incense sticks are lit in temples & local houses everywhere in Vietnam... find out why and take in the beauty of the bamboo sticks laying in the streets to dry.

Not only that, but we'll take you to the factory that mass produces incense sticks to export around Vietnam and other areas of South East Asia. Bring your cameras because today is going to be a colorful day.
NOTE: If it does rain then there may not be as many on show outside but no stress... we have a backup 🌧️

This was my 1st time going a group of people to travel. This first attraction was the volunteer work. Then the holiday. I was super surprised at the accommodation and the planning of the tour - it was flawless. The accomodation was just awesome. The experiences that Jane and Mr T organised was so awesome. The tour was so thorough that the only reason i would go back is for more volunteer work and experience the north (Sapa) area. Otherwise i feel that Jane and Mr t made sure that we got to see the whole of Vietnam and its culture and History. Mr T knows so much about the history. It left me coming home knowing so much more about each place we went to and their cultures and traditions in each location. Truly loved the trip and would go on another We travel tour.

I recently joined the Discover Vietnam + The South tour with WeTravel. This was my first tour ever, my first time in Vietnam and what an amazing time! I was a solo traveler and didn't know what to expect. From the first breakfast my fellow travelers were enthusiastic and welcoming. We had such a fun time! Owner Jane curates a trip that hits the places & things you've been longing to see like Hoi An, limestone karst formations, basket boats, bike riding through rice paddies, rickshaw rides, temples, local food!, Ha Long Bay. But here are a few of the things we did that I wasn't expecting -made our own art at the studio of an amazing, accomplished local artist; saw how so many local items are made right in their manufacturing locations; ate a couple homemade meals in local homes; sang karaoke together. Jane takes extra time to connect her tours with more local activities and people. Both to broaden the trip for her tour clients AND to bring tourism dollars/ money to more locals. We appreciated both aspects of Jane's work on this. We spent 3 days working on the home of a local, rural woman who lives with and cares for her mother and her son. Along with local workers we were able to add a bathroom and large chicken coop (and 50 chicks) to their home making a fundamental difference in their comfort and in their ability to provide for themselves. During the three days we went from uncertain strangers to joyful collaborators with the family. This was a highlight for us on the trip. And of course OUR GUIDE, Tuan. He took such good care of us. He always had a 360 degree view on all the moving parts of our trip but also paid attention to each and every person for how our trip was going personally. He really broaden the trip for us all by sharing some of his own story and through explaining so many aspects of Vietnamese culture that aren't easy to research on your own. Tuan is an impressive person and we all just loved him. I learned about this trip from a stranger's Facebook post. Take the plunge and book this. You will learn so much about Vietnam and have such a great time doing it!

What can I say. This trip was just what I needed. Connection with my fellow travellers and a tour and tour guide that had a passion for their country and people. Do not doubt whether you should go - just book it. You will not be disappointed. The family you might support with the volunteering project will remain in your heart and Vietnam in your soul forever Perfect way to connect with the real Vietnam

An amazingly fun packed trip from day 1, covering the historic Hanoi, stunning Ha Long Bay and Nimb Binh through to Hue, Hà Nội finally Saigon and the Mekong delta. Experiencing most forms of transport both on land and water through stunning nature and exhilarating traffic. The opportunity to help a beautiful family to make life a little easier was the ultimate highlight. Our guide T, was insightful, caring and tirelessly inspiring. I will remember the informative talks which brought to life Vietnam’s history and felt privileged he also told us about his life experiences.

There are so many fabulous experiences on this busy tour that you really get to see a lot of varied aspects of Vietnam. The country and the people are amazing but the absolute highlights are the most fabulous guide and having the opportunity to do the volunteer project in the middle of this trip that makes such an amazing difference, transforming lives for a family facing challenge. Just great all round!

Jane and Mr. T have put a lot of thought and preparation in this tour. It was awesome, well put together and flowed smoothly from the airport pick-up to the taxi ride back to the airport on departure day. The sight seeing, outings and volunteer opportunities were fun, educational and beautiful. Mr. T shares personal events and so much history about his country, you can tell that he is very passionate about what he does. It isn't just a job for him. They went above and beyond expectations. If you are even remotely considering this trip I would tell you to BOOK IT!!!!!! You will get to help people with your giving of time, labor and love. You will also make life-long friends from all over the world.

If you are looking for an amazing Adventure plus give back tour Way to Travel is the Company to show you Vietnam. This was my second trip to Vietnam with a group and loved everything about it. Jane is fantastic in her role with Way to Travel and also as our tour guide. Mr T "Just a Tour Guide" is a wonderful Guide, so helpful, understanding also loves to tease and joke around. Both Jane and Mr T made our trip such a wonderful experience and wish them the best in life. It was a pleasure to meet Matt and Phi. I hope that we can all catch up again in the near future. Love to Vietnam you have a piece of my heart
