Itinerary

VILLAGE 1️⃣
Quang Phu Cau Village

We’ll start at the stunning Quảng Phú Cầu village as very recently seen on National Geographic. Incense sticks are lit in temples & local houses everywhere in Vietnam... find out why and take in the beauty of the bamboo sticks laying in the streets to dry.

Not only that, but we'll take you to the factory that mass produces incense sticks to export around Vietnam and other areas of South East Asia. Bring your cameras because today is going to be a colorful day.
NOTE: If it does rain then there may not be as many on show outside but no stress... we have a backup 🌧️

I was very impressed with my recent travel experience We Travel. Jane and team put together a packed itinerary which was amazing and well thought out! Looking back, I am impressed with all we did in a short time. Our home project was especially rewarding and time in the class room with the children was precious. A big shout out to our tour guide, T. He was grace under pressure. He planned around the weather and made our comfort and needs top priority. We don't realize the hours and behind the scene time these guide put in to make sure everyone is happy. Like the afternoon I left my phone somewhere, and with the help of my group and T, I had it back in my hands within an hour! Love Vietnam, the people, the food, the geography and this experience! We had a great time. Fun, knowledgeable and patient tour guide Mr T made the trip extra special. The activities were fun and well paced. Hotels were better than expected and food was good. All in all a fantastic trip.

My trip with Way to Travel was more than I could have expected. 13 days went off without a glitch. The planning was thorough. The guide Mr T was calm, patient, funny, knowledgeable, and dealt with 5 women asking him a question at once with skill and humour. All the trips were enjoyable, accommodations were great, and transitions were easy. The volunteer project not only gave back but brought a group of women together inviting skills, muscle, humor and compassion in a way that an ‘only’ sight seeing tour could not. I highly recommend Jane, Mr T and everyone else involved with Way to Travel as your first choice on your trip to Vietnam. I travel a lot and this my first group tour. They convinced me that being, seeing and doing together is the Way to Travel! Kim from Canada

What an amazing trip! So much was packed into each day, it was so well organised with great food, volunteering experiences, activities including cooking, cycling, kayaking and hiking. We went from Hanoi, Halong Bay, Nimh Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh and the Mekong Delta. Making a difference to a family in helping to build a chicken coop and upgrade their living conditions made the trip so worthwhile, while teaching me new skills. Thoroughly recommend Jane and T in making the trip so special.

Wow! What just happened? I travelled to Vietnam in November with WayToTravel. The trip was a 17 day ethical volunteering adventure starting in Hanoi and finishing in Ho Chi Minh City. Every day was packed with adventure, fun and learning about the culture of this wonderful country. Our 3 day work project involved renovating the bathroom and outside courtyard for a lovely family. Mr Bing could not work as he was disabled following a stroke. His wife was the sole breadwinner and also cared for Mr Bing and their 2 young boys. We also built them a chicken coop and they were provided with 50 chicks to supplement their income. It’s very emotional to know you’ve changed the lives of an otherwise struggling family. Now, there’s a long list of activities that were organised by Mr T, our tour guide, friend, mentor and true superhero on the whole trip. Going above and soooooo beyond all expectations to ensure we all had the best experiences. Check out the itinerary on WayToTravel website. There are city walks, visits to temples and markets, boat cruises, river trips, cooking classes, farming, mud fishing, demonstrations of crafting and join in experiences, cycle rides through the countryside, rickshaw rides around the cities, teaching at a local school, gosh and so much more. The visit to the cu chi tunnels and the war remnants museum was particularly emotional. Accommodation - 8 changes- was pretty good and many meals are included in the cost of the trip. It’s great to experience the cuisine of Vietnam but I did put on several pounds! Nancy would be concerned about what to eat but Mr T gave us recommendations at each place. I can’t begin to even understand how you organise 15 people getting them around the country, organising every activity, all perfectly timed and with a lot of patience! 😉. Thank you WayToTravel for a truly fulfilling experience.

If you are looking for an amazing Adventure plus give back tour Way to Travel is the Company to show you Vietnam. This was my second trip to Vietnam with a group and loved everything about it. Jane is fantastic in her role with Way to Travel and also as our tour guide. Mr T "Just a Tour Guide" is a wonderful Guide, so helpful, understanding also loves to tease and joke around. Both Jane and Mr T made our trip such a wonderful experience and wish them the best in life. It was a pleasure to meet Matt and Phi. I hope that we can all catch up again in the near future. Love to Vietnam you have a piece of my heart

I was on the March 2024 Tour. it was an amazing experience. Mr. T was amazing! He had gone above and beyond in his expertise of his beautiful homeland of Vietnam. The Volunteer Project was alot of work but fun too. it made us feel so good in what we did to enhance the lives of a local village family. On this tour we saw many beautiful sights, fantastic food tour, a couple of performances, and made new friendships! I plan to return next year to spend more time at their beautiful beaches! Thank you so much to Jane and Mr. T! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
