We are delighted to be joining forces with Haunted Journeys and Maria Pons-Schmidt to bring you this amazing tour. It is wildely accepted that many Halloween traditions originated from ancient harvest festivals in Ireland particularly the Gaelic Festival of Samhain (sow an). It celebrated the harvest, end of summer and welcomed in the winter. Its roots are pagan and many of the customs associated with Halloween come from pagan Ireland.
We want to share our customs, traditions, culture, our haunted Castles, Abbeys, Grand houses and land with you.
Come with Secret Ireland Tours and Haunted Journeys to experience the Irish spirits for yourself!
We will meet you at terminal 2 at Dublin airport at 9am the morning of Oct 26th so please book a flight that comes in before that time.
We will leave you to the airport on the last day of the tour but please book your return flight anytime after 1 pm in the afternoon on the last day of the trip.
Kilmainham Jail is a very famous historic museum now but it was the jail that 16 of our Easter rising leaders were held before they were executed by the British forces in 1916. Here you will see many of the documents relating to that time and you might even see a ghost or two there.
Our second venue is the famous Dublin Castle, dating back to the 13th century this castle is on the site of a Viking settlement. Dublin Castle served for centuries as the headquarters of the British administration in Ireland. Apparently the castle is said to be absolutely packed with visitors of the supernatural variety, so well worth a visit for those who love ghost hunting. We finish off the day with a pub crawl around the Temple Bar area in Dublin.
