Day 1
Exploring the Boyton Canyon Vortex

8am guest pick up in Sedona

Guest picked up at Phoenix Airport or other designated rendevous point.

Travel to explore the Boyton Canyon Vortex.

The Boynton Canyon Vortex, located near Sedona, Arizona, is one of the area's most famous energy vortex sites. It's renowned for its stunning red rock formations, tranquil environment, and its reputation as a site of spiritual energy.

More specific hike details coming soon!!!

Features of the Boynton Canyon Vortex:

  • Energy Type: The vortex in Boynton Canyon is often described as a "balanced vortex," combining both masculine (yang) and feminine (yin) energies. Visitors report a sense of harmony, healing, and grounding in this location.
  • Location: Boynton Canyon is a scenic canyon west of Sedona. The trail to the vortex is about 6 miles round-trip (if you go deep into the canyon), but the vortex itself can be accessed from a shorter trail off the main route.
  • Appearance:
  • Kachina Woman Rock Formation: A distinct red rock spire near the vortex site is often associated with the vortex energy. Many visitors pause here to meditate or take in the views.
  • Red Rock Views: The area offers panoramic vistas of rugged cliffs and vibrant red sandstone formations.
  • Spiritual Experience: People visiting the vortex describe feeling uplifted, inspired, and recharged. Many come to meditate, do yoga, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
  • Cultural Significance: Boynton Canyon holds spiritual significance for Native American tribes, particularly the Yavapai and Apache, who consider it a sacred place.

Flora and Fauna: The trail leading to the vortex and deeper into the canyon is surrounded by lush vegetation, including junipers (believed to enhance vortex energy), prickly pear cacti, and pine trees.

After dinner at base camp, Baheaya will be holding a sacred cacao ceremony around the campfire.  For the indigenous tribes of South and Central America, cacao represents the blood of the ancestors and is a sacred plant that opens the heart and awakens the spirit. In a traditional cacao ceremony, the cacao is harvested and prepared with pure intention and reverence. Each step has a meaning and significance and specific tools are used to represent each of the elements. The final goal of the ceremony is to create Ka-Ka-Wa - meaning the combination of masculine energy with feminine energy and spirit for the intention of bringing new life and spiritual re-birthing.
