Join me for a two-week holiday/kora workshop in Kafountine, southern Senegal. The classes will mainly be taught by me but we will have the privilege of a local kora jali joining us for some master classes. Accommodation, food and drinks will be provided by The Kora Workshop. All levels of ability are welcome, whether you are just starting out on your kora journey or have been playing for many years. Koras can be provided.  Classes will start on day 1 so you can arrive that morning or I suggest arriving a few days earlier to get settled in. On the last day, the classes will finish in the morning. Of course, all of this is super flexible as many of you will be coming from different places and have different plans so please feel free to get in contact with me if your travel plans don't fit nice and neatly into this time frame.

A wonderful few days, developing my playing of the kora. Josh is a super teacher, inspiring and patient, as well as an extremely talented musician. The group size was just right, and the venue perfect. A beautiful place in the mountains, with comfortable accommodation and delicious food cooked by the host. I would definitely return for another time.

Shared large room in main guest house

Have a private car with a trusted driver pick you up from Banjul airport and guide you through the Gambia-Senegal border. &nbsp;It is possible to share the cost if flights arrive at similar times.&nbsp; Also available is a pickup from &nbsp;Ziguinchor ferry port. (This can always be added on later if you are unsure) *Book two if you want a return. This price is for the entire car, if you end up sharing with others. The cost will be split, and the balance will be refunded*

Eco-lodge, tucked away in its own private garden.&nbsp; They are light and airy and have private outdoor showers and aroma-free (!) compost toilets.&nbsp;&nbsp;Each has tea and coffee-making facilities, its own water ‘canari’ store and a hammock.&nbsp; They are simple one-roomed houses with a double bed.&nbsp; All of them can accommodate an extra single bed and one can be changed to a triple room, i.e. three singles.&nbsp; All have been built with woven bamboo walls and two have thatched roofs with a local artisanal ceiling, very beautiful.
