About this trip

Join Meagan and a small group of new friends for a fun retreat getaway up in the fresh mountain air. Enjoy Bed and Breakfast accommodation, gourmet breakfast, home cooked meals and wine pairings, invigorating and relaxing yoga for all levels, peaceful riverbank meditations, guided Sequoia National park exploration and time to relax, reconnect and rejuvenate!

Sequoia National Park is found in Visalia, California. The park stretches across a vast length of almost 404,000 acres. It is one of the largest National Parks in America and is world famous for its amazing giant sequoia trees. This dramatic landscape testifies to nature's size, beauty, and diversity--huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world's largest trees!

We will stay at Sequoia River Dance Bed and Breakfast in Three Rivers, CA just minutes from the park entrance! This newly remodeled house holds 5 rooms, 4 bathrooms, a shady outdoor yoga deck, and the south fork of the Kaweah River runs through the property providing the background sound for each yoga practice and will lull you to sleep each night. Our awesome hosts Jackie and James will ensure we are comfortable, feel at home, and are well fed!

Meagan Hurst is a yoga instructor, photographer, social media manager, world traveller and owner of Malas With A Mission. She has a BA in small business entrepreneurship and cinematography from CSULB and became a RYT-500 in 2016. Meagan believes that her most valuable education has come from backpacking and volunteering throughout 30+ different countries though. She loves to explore new places and challenge herself, but will always have roots and find comfort in California where she was born. Meagan approaches teaching yoga in the same way: building classes around exploring new places in the mind and body, but always staying rooted in the breath and foundations of yoga philosophy and alignment. Each class will have elements of power flow and restorative (because balance is the best), but no two classes are exactly the same leaving no room for expectations Meagan also enjoys being outside in nature, rock climbing, surfing, photography and spending time with her friends and family.

What a delightful experience! Meagan was a wonderful host. Truly inspiring with her words, and an amazing yoga teacher. I highly recommend this retreat for beginner and advanced students. As if the yoga and meditation weren’t enough, hiking the beautiful vistas made this uniquely treasuarable.

So enjoyed this yoga retreat. I live just about 15 minutes away but the stay in Three Rivers was so peaceful and Meagan was a wonderful instructor. This is my first yoga retreat and I know it won't be my last. Great food and beautiful setting, Thank you Jackie and James, and a fun group of ladies to share the weekend. So enjoyed getting back up into the park and the weather was perfect. Meagan has a wonderful heart and she shared her passion for life. I encourage anyone who is looking to try a retreat like this to do so, I plan to do this again. Thanks Meagan and an honorable mention to Kyle. Namaste Rosemary Montero
