The focus of our yoga practice will be just that, to re-connect to our body, mind and heart, feeling fully present through movement, deeper exploration of our yoga poses, rest and meditation.
Often called the Green Heart of Italy, Umbria with its rolling green hills offers a quiet beauty and authenticity. Our home for the week is Agriturismo Baldeschi; an old farm, lovingly renovated for guests and also an active olive oil farm. Surrounded by olive trees, its serene location in the hills overlooking Lake Trasimeno invites us to slow down and the peace and quiet makes for the perfect setting to reconnect.
A day at Serene Self Yoga Retreat
Imagine not having to feel rushed in the morning. Instead start slowly with a cup of tea or coffee, maybe a stroll through the olive groves and then welcome yourself on the yoga mat with a practice dedicated to your wellbeing. Enjoy a mindfully created breakfast before you let the day unfold for time in nature, a dip in the pool, excursions, community and laughter with your fellow guests or time for yourself, reading, drawing or get your included massage! To continue the journey of relaxation we gather in the afternoon for a gentle restorative yoga practice and afterwards we sit down for a delicious dinner at the community table where each meal is made with local ingredients, flavors and traditions.

Hike with picnic - We start our hike with a walk by the olive groves, continuing through the green forest in the hills until we reach Torre di Vernazzano, a tower dating back to the 11th centaury. There we will enjoy a picnic and the stunning view over Lake Trasimeno.
Day trip to Assisi with guided tour - We are taking a trip to Assisi, a true must when visiting Umbria. Assisi is a historic medieval town known as the birth place of Saint Francis, the patron saint of all animals and the environment. With a local guide, we will follow the historic path from Roman to Medieval times through the city center and finish at the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stunning basilica features frescoes (murals) by famous painter Giotto as well as other art. After our tour you will have time to eat lunch, do some shopping or simply stroll the cobble stoned streets of this special place.
Wine tasting - Our visit to Montemelino, an organic farm and winery, begins with an immersive guided tour of the organic vineyards and winery, where we will learn the secrets that makes their wines unique. We will then enjoy a curated tasting of 5 wines, special to the Trasimeno area. The wines are accompanied by a platter of high-quality local products and their award-winning organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Cooking class - The cooking class takes place at Baldeschi with a passionate and experienced chef. The cuisine is inspired by a plant-based, seasonal and natural approach, focused on wellbeing and the beauty of each dish. A central element of the cooking classes is the extra virgin olive oil, produced on the Baldeschi estate. We will get a hands on authentic experience that will finish with us sitting down for dinner, enjoying our creations with a glass of wine.
Massage - A massage therapist will come to us at Baldeschi and each guest will receive a 50 min massage, choosing between a Relaxing Swedish massage or a Californian Bio-emotional massage.
