At this retreat, we will dip into the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to understand what it means to navigate life harmoniously and with a heart wide open.
The only right you have over action is over acting and never over the result of the action.
-Bhagavad Gita, 2.47
How do we live our lives skillfully?
How do we go about our busy lives in a chaotic world and still retain peace, joy and sweetness? How do we become free of our anxieties and fears?
These are some of the questions we will delve into at the Serving Shakti Retreat. Through deep study and contemplation of the Bhagavad Gita, we will explore the nuances of karma yoga.
Much more profound than the common understanding as selfless action, karma yoga is the yoga of living and becomes a throbbing reality with recognition of our true nature. We come to see that karma yoga is the outward manifestation of this inner recognition, flowing sweetly through us. Karma yoga doesn’t have to involve a big service project. Cooking a meal, driving to work, feeding the baby, or having a fun conversation are all in the flow of karma yoga.
In the most nuanced understanding of karma yoga, we recognize that we are always serving Shakti.
Join us for a deep exploration and experience of Karma yoga.
