The outdoors is a place for everyone, and as a plus size, female outdoor enthusiast it has always been a place I love to explore with others!
It's hard to meet people to explore with, it can feel intimidating to make new connections with fellow adventure seekers- and sometimes we forget the outdoor community is a place full of people of different ages, sizes and abilities.
That is why I created the space for the first annual Body Positivity In The Outdoors, Seward Summer Campout. To embrace ourselves as we are, and have FUN outside.
The sunny seaside town of Seward has always captured my heart with its rugged mountain peaks, glacial fjords, and ocean full of thriving marine life. It is the perfect place for us to gather for a weekend of fun outside.
To make it easy for everyone, the cost of this trip will have the opportunity to have camping basics already covered for you!

This trip departs from Lowell Point on the south end of Seward. We follow the remarkable western coastline of Resurrection Bay to Tonsina Creek. As we kayak, we are looking for sea ducks, diving birds, eagles, porpoise, harbor seals and sea lions. Depending on the time of the salmon run, you may also see salmon fighting their way upstream at Tonsina Creek! Stretch your legs, explore the ghost tree forest, skip rocks, and enjoy the pristine surroundings at Tonsina Point.
