However, there are similarities to the feeling you get when the road ahead is clear, the wind is in your hair and you let go of the handlebars without any fear.
Shifting Into High Gear means you reconnect with your knowing. There is a knowing inside of you that you are all you ever need to be a whole, healthy, happy person. It means that you can give yourself permission to stop searching outside of yourself for that elusive happiness. You can stop filling yourself up with things that you think make you happy when really and truly these things often just offer fleeting moments of joy.
You are riding that bike without hands at full speed with the wind in your hair and at no time will squirrels, a rock or a Mack truck get in your way.
When we Shift Into High Gear, we are essentially standing naked in the sunshine in the middle of the roadway, feet on either side of the staggered yellow line with our hands outstretched toward the sky. We are strong in our power, we understand where we have been operating from for most, if not all of our lives, and we approach the world differently radiating out an energy that is virtually unstoppable. It is this powerful!
At this retreat in the picturesque town of Fairhope, Alabama, we will practice shifting from a place of limiting beliefs into a place of personal power. We will essentially uncover where in our lives we may have come from a place of victimhood, abandonment, rejection and/or feelings of low self-worth. We will transform how these behaviours have woven their way like a tapestry through our lives, often sabotaging our true intentions or our ability to live the life we say we have desired.
Resistance is the opposite of growth, so at this retreat we will abstain from practicing meditation or traditional journaling, or using dowsing rods, pendulums and other tool-intensive practices. For some of you, this may bring up resistance. Take a deep breath. Please know that we will work through it together.
We feel it’s important to give up all of the so-called tools we have been using to feel good about ourselves in order to authentically, strongly and powerfully feel good about ourselves. We will work to recreate the feelings and support that these tools have essentially provided for us with the idea that if we do re-engage with them we are coming from an entirely new place — a place of strength. We will be coming clean with whatever it is within us that we have been spiritually bypassing.
