Perfect for those short on time!  This hike travels along the final stretch of the famous Inca Trail.  Walk through tropical forests, passing the beautiful remains of the sacred Inca site of Winayhuayna to reach our final destination, Inti Punku or Sun Gate.

Walk approximately 7 hours through tropical forests and have your first view of the incomparable splendor of Machu Picchu, hidden in the forest for almost five centuries, and now South America's greatest travel destination.

We recommend this shorter trail for people who have a shorter travel schedule or those with physical limitations.

Itinerary, departing from Cusco year-round except February:

• 
  Day 1 - Pick up from hotel in Cusco, ascend to Winayhuayna, 4 hours total hiking to Sun Gate, bus ride back down to hotel in Aguas Calientes
• 
  Day 2 - Early morning bus ride up to Machu Picchu, 2 hour walking tour of ruins, several vantage points for views, bus and train back to Cusco
