Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with camping allows you to explore the last part of the Classic Inca Trail in one day, visit Chachabamba, Wiñaywayna, Sun Gate, and arrive at Machu Picchu late in the afternoon to see the Inca citadel when everybody is leaving. The afternoon arrival through the Sun Gate is perfect for pictures and enjoying the spectacular Inca site with the sunset and is almost empty.
Day 1: Cusco - Km104 – Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes).- The tour starts with a pick up from your hotel at 4:00 am and a drive to Ollantaytambo to take the first trains to Chachabamba (Km 104) to start the Inca Trail. The hike to Machu Picchu takes around 7 hours, visiting Chamchamba, Wiñaywayna, Sungate, amazing views, flowers, birds, orchids, and arrive at Machu Picchu when it is almost empty. Camp below Machu Picchu with comfortable tents.
Day 2: Machu Picchu (The Lost City of the Incas) - Cusco.- Wake up early, have breakfast in your hotel, and board the first buses to Machu Picchu; your tour guide will take you on a short hike to Inca Bridge. Next, you'll explore the most beautiful places in Machu Picchu for around 3 hours, and then you'll have free time to enjoy free time or hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional). Once you are done exploring the citadel, take the Expedition train back to Cusco. Drop off at your hotel around 7.30 pm.

Huayna Picchu Mountain – Takes 2 hours to hike round trip; you must hike after the Machu Picchu tour; the cost is $75 extra per person.
Machu Picchu Mountain (Montaña) – Takes around 3.5 hours to finish this mountain, the highest mounatin in the area, and the cost $75 extra per person.
