About the Tour

This private adventure takes you into the unique and beautiful Muyil side of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere. After crossing a beautiful lagoon by boat we will get into the water and float while enjoying the panoramic views of the mangrove canals and the surrounding tropical landscape. We will take our time floating through the famous turquoise clear canals located throughout the Muyil part of the biosphere.

In addition to experiencing the biosphere, we will visit the ancient Muyil Ruins located close to the biosphere entrance in the town of Muyil. At the ruins our federally licensed tour guides will lead you on a walk through the beautiful grounds while explaining the fascinating history of this important Mayan site. You will learn about the local culture and the area's Mayan history, see examples of local wildlife, and eat a delicious traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
