This one is personal. Before DDY Travels was a passport full of stamps, it was a treehouse in a Dominican jungle — and we're going home. Four nights in the canopy: private treehouses connected by rope bridges, an open-air yoga dome, a cacao ceremony under the trees, the highest-rated zipline in the DR, and a boat in the bay for the first whale song of the season. All meals included. No wifi. No apologies.

Samaná is where my own retreat story began, and in January it becomes something even wilder: thousands of humpback whales arrive in the bay to sing and raise their young. We'll be on the water for the very first days of whale season. Between the jungle and the deep, we'll practice yoga in an open-air dome, sit in cacao ceremony, fly the highest-rated zipline in the Dominican Republic, and spend slow afternoons on a beach most tourists never find.
