Partners: Sistas Healing Sistas with SFI and God Cares Outreach

Through this Belize mission trip, Sistas Healing Sistas and Samaritan's Feet International will partner with God Cares Outreach to serve children and families throughout several Belizean communities. The team will participate in shoe distributions, home visits, church engagement, and other outreach activities while building relationships with local families and ministry leaders. The trip will provide an opportunity to encourage communities through practical service while sharing hope and the Gospel.

The trip will also include team devotions, fellowship, and an excursion to experience the culture and beauty of Belize. Together, Sistas Healing Sistas, Samaritan's Feet, and God Cares Outreach will seek to serve communities with compassion while supporting the ongoing work of the local church.

Our Mission
Sistas Healing Sistas (SHS) is a Christian sisterhood and support group for women to come together in a safe and loving environment with the purpose of connecting, conversing, and building community.

SHS provides a platform for women to receive the love and support that they need to navigate through life and overcome its challenges. Our gatherings and events are designed to foster genuine and authentic connections; facilitate life changing conversations by providing opportunities for members to share their stories and experiences; and to build a community of Christlike women seeking to grow in their faith, while supporting other women to do the same.  

Hi! My name is Lauren Forrest, and I have the privilege of serving as the Mission Coordinator for Samaritan's Feet International. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to serve on approximately 10 international mission trips, each one strengthening my passion for serving others and witnessing how God works through His people across cultures. I believe mission trips are about much more than the work we accomplish—they're about building meaningful relationships, growing in our faith, and allowing God to transform both the communities we serve and our own hearts along the way.

As your Team Leader, my goal is to create an environment where everyone feels prepared, supported, and encouraged throughout the journey. Whether this is your first mission trip or your tenth, I'll be here to guide you every step of the way, from preparing before we leave to serving alongside one another in-country. Some of my favorite moments on mission trips aren't the large events, but the conversations, shared meals, and unexpected moments where God reminds us that every person matters. I'm excited to serve with you and can't wait to see how God uses our team to make a lasting impact while creating memories and friendships that will last well beyond the trip.

Arrival by plane @ Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) between 11am and 3pm

SFI will have a leader on the ground at the airport when you land to Transport you to the rest of the team.
