Imagine your kids flying to Tokyo, not alone, but with me as their chaperone, guiding them through one of Japan's most prestigious and exciting summer camps. 

This isn't just any camp—it's a 13-night, 14-day exploration of Japanese language and culture, offering your kids the ultimate immersive experience. Each morning, they’ll learn Japanese with certified teachers, and in the afternoons, we’ll venture out to explore the vibrant city of Tokyo, engaging with locals and soaking in the sights.

Your kids will form friendships with peers worldwide and create memories that will last a lifetime.

With 24-hour supervision, this residence camp is designed for kids aged 8 to 17, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the experience.

Each two-week session includes morning Japanese lessons and daily afternoon excursions and full-day excursions on the weekends, offering a deep dive into the rich diversity of Japanese culture, food, history, and geography.

We’ve planned these trips to make the most of the special attractions surrounding each summer language camp, ensuring your child’s experience is both educational and unforgettable.

Departure from Los Angeles (LAX) 12 July 2025, Saturday 

• The flight will depart from Los Angeles (LAX) to Narita International Airport (NRT). 
• The exact flight details, drop-off point, and time will be announced closer to the date. 

Arrival to Los Angeles (LAX) 26 July  2025, Saturday   

• The flight will depart Narita International Airport (NRT) and land in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) 
• The exact flight details, pick-up point, and time will be announced closer to the date.

Tokyo Summer Camp Residence - shared accommodation for same gender. 

Accommodation is in a residence, together with other camp program participants in shared rooms.

A program coordinator lives in the same building with the participants, organizing activities, support and supervision during the program.

Students eat all meals together, either at the residence, the school or at a local restaurants in the area.

At Rooted Journeys, we are committed to providing seamless and unforgettable travel experiences. To secure a spot on a group trip, a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required, with payment plans available for select trips. Cancellations within 24 hours of booking are eligible for a full refund, but all payments become final thereafter due to vendor commitments.

Travelers are responsible for obtaining necessary passports, visas, and vaccinations, and no refunds will be issued for failure to meet these requirements. Travel insurance is highly recommended, and proof may be required depending on the trip. Itineraries are subject to change based on local conditions, and Rooted Journeys reserves the right to modify or cancel trips with notice. All travelers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully, and violations of local laws or disruptive behavior may result in removal without a refund.

While we hope for our trip to go as planned, it's important to acknowledge that unforeseen events like adverse weather or unexpected situations such as COVID-19-related closures may occur.

Proof of vaccination is not mandatory for participation. Please note, we won't be able to provide refunds for individuals who test positive and are unable to join the trip.

Securing "cancel for any reason" travel insurance at the time of booking is recommended for protection against unforeseen cancellations or accidents.
