Day 1 Coal Mine Tour
Travel to Beckley Coal Mine Tour and Tamarack Market Place
Travel by Motorcoach to Beckley, WV and the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, tour through dark passages of the vintage coal mine. The guides are veteran miners and provide first hand accounts of daily travail of past and present miners. Then on to Grandview Overlook for fall foliage views. Next we will stop at Tamarack market place to enjoy local artisans and artists items for sale, and a restaurant featuring Appalachian Cuisine. Lunch and Dinner on your own today. 2 night stay at the Hampton Inn Beckley, WV

We had a great time. It was a great group of travelers. Some who we had travelled with before and also new friends were made.
The buffet meals were good but a little too much food sometimes.

It was an excellent trip. The foliage and weather were perfect. Mingling with the people on the bus was great. The bus driver did an excellent job. The venues were all interesting especially the green briar bunker and falling water house. Excellent tour guide and her assistant. The hotel at la vale, md. Was very inviting, impressive and the staff were professional. I had a lot of fun, saw several unique sites and ate very well. I don't know how this trip could have been any better.

Mike and Melanie did a great job! They got us where we needed to be in a timely manner. Hotel beds were comfortable and the food was delicious. We stopped plenty of times to stretch our legs and use restrooms. They kept us entertained and informed. We will definitely travel with them again. Darren, the bus driver also did a great job. It was a smooth ride.

Another very well managed trip with Melanie and Mike. Cape Cod was very interesting and deep with history. The hotel in the Cape Cod area was very nice and well positioned for home base during our 4 nights and days traveling the area. We had a wonderful group of people to travel and spend the week with. Many new acquaintances and some friends from previous trips. Last year we went on the Boston trip and this one to Cape Cod was a compliment to last years.
