After an early breakfast, you'll begin your exploration, taking advantage of the early hours of the day, which are the best time to observe the vibrant activities of the rainforest. Below is a somewhat standard day, but you can choose to do many canoe excursions instead of walking. During a hike in the rainforest, your guide will share their knowledge with you. You'll learn and understand how life in the jungle can coexist in a delicate balance. Your guide will explain the use of medicinal plants, knowledge that has been passed down through generations and is still applied by the local population. Keep an eye out for amphibians, butterflies, centipedes, millipedes, snakes, birds, monkeys, and other mammals along the trail. Later, you'll return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll take a trip along the Cuyabeno River to discover the animals living in the dense forest along the riverbanks, especially monkeys, as well as macaws, toucans, and sloths. There's a good chance to see river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis and Sotalia fluviatilis) in the magnificent river landscape. Before dinner, you'll venture into the dark jungle to find its nocturnal life, such as insects, spiders, snakes, or colorful frogs, accompanied by the nighttime sounds of the rainforest.
