Arrive and transfer to your hotel located in the historic center of Athens.

Rest up for a short bit, then gather in the hotel lobby for your Foothills of the Acropolis Walking Tour and welcome dinner.

This introduction to the capital city is a step back in time as you venture into the historic center, strolling past iconic spots which reveal and then weave history from ancient to modern times.

Experience the magnificence of the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum with a licensed archeological guide, before you are guided through the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood in Europe, Plaka, and along the same streets the Great Philosophers walked in ancient times to glimpsing both the Roman and Greek Agoras as you take take to wander into the quaint shops lining the way.

On this day you'll experience Syntagma Square and the Changing of the Guard, the Neo-classical Athens Trilogy, an afternoon rooftop coffee and snack, and then you roll up your sleeves to indulge in preparing a Greek feast!

Morning at leisure to walk along the pedestrian shopping area, take in the National Gardens, and simply enjoy Athens.

After lunchtime, you'll take a leisurely ride along the Athenian Riviera to Cape Sounio and the Temple of Poseidon to watch the sun reflect off the luminescent marble of the temple, making it appear like shimmering gold. Learn how the Aegean got its name and marvel at the point where the Saronic Gulf meets the Aegean Sea, the entry to Greece's largest commercial port.

Then we drive off the beaten path to a favorite Insiders taverna for a traditional meal, specializing in the areas best lamb chops!

Transfer to port and embark on ship for a full day cruise to three islands in the Saroninic. *Lose yourself in the charm of Hydra. Time stands still on this island. With car-free cobblestone streets, stately mansions, and art etched into every corner, Hydra offers a serene escape into Greece’s timeless beauty and history.

*Sail into Poros, the island of lush pine forests and tranquil waters. Known for its rich maritime heritage and vibrant waterfront, Poros is the perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural discovery, waiting to be explored.

*Step onto Aegina, a treasure trove of ancient wonders and vibrant local life. Join your tour leader for a walking tour of the town, or opt for an optional excursion with the ship's crew and perhaps visit the “Acropolis” of Aegina or the St Nektarios monastery. Regardless of your choice, you'll indulge in the island’s delicious pistachio sweets and wander through its picturesque seaside village.
