Meditation is a coming home. Through the practice of embodiment, we reconnect with the life we are living and the person we are. The effects of this are considerable.
Under the guidance of teacher Neil McKinlay, this week-long retreat will explore the foundations of somatic meditation. We will unfold the basic elements of the Somatic Practice of Pure Awareness - one of the simplest and most profound practices of this tradition. This experience will be supported by walking meditation, periods of silence, and the resonant beauty of Stowel Lake Farm.
As our relationship with life deepens, we will begin to see our way through the distraction that so characterizes our days. We will start to receive the body’s wisdom without judgement and carry this into the world without agenda. We will develop our capacity to act as beacons of possibility for others - a sign we have found our way home.
