“The Greeks had Olympus; Moses had Sinai. And seekers in the modern age have Mount Shasta.” -NPR
Unplug, ground, realign and reconnect with four days + three nights of yoga & body-based meditation, three healing meals/day, epic hiking, a mineral springs soak & optional massage.
As snow thaws and brave flowers slowly arise from the underworld all of nature is animated with a fresh start. We are not separate from nature. Our animal body lives by the earth’s clock. The ancient transition to Spring, called Beltane, is a time to celebrate that which is awakening within us. It’s a time to gather in community to strengthen, relax and open our bodies and minds with simple rituals & the purity of nature.
How might we come to inhabit our body as a Somatic Sanctuary, a portal that returns us to the ever-presence and the omnipresence of our Soul? In addition to yoga, we’ll explore and release areas of chronic tension with the pleasure of healing self-bodywork with therapy balls. Expect to return home rested and refreshed with an expanded toolkit of wellness practices to balance your body & mind.
Mount Shasta is internationally celebrated as the “Root Chakra” of the planet so prepare to ground and reconnect to your sense of purpose. Drink crystal pure water straight from the snow melt. Hike amidst old growth cedars and roaming wildlife to meditate at an ‘energy vortex’ that thousands of generations have called ‘the sacred center of the universe.’ Awaken with a rejuvenating soak in the living natural springs flowing from the center of the colossal Shasta, the tallest mountain in the continental United States. This time of the year is stunning in Shasta- the snow has melted, the sun is warm enough to bear the promise of Spring and yet the air is sharp and fresh.
