About this trip
Another spring/summer season means another vegan holiday in beautiful Portugal! In 2024, we are headed back to one of our favourite countries, and one that gets progressively more vegan as time passes.
This year we'll be joined by vegan lifestyle expert, Sophie Waplington of @sophsplantkitchen! Sophie grew up vegetarian and in recent years has honed her skills in the vegan culinary and fitness spaces. This will be Sophie's maiden voyage with The Getaway Co. and we're thrilled to have her join us!
We will once again call the town of Cascais home and during our time there we will embark on a week of delicious vegan food, lots of fun excursions and an endless supply of laughter and connections. As always, we will stay with our friends at Casa Vela Hotel which feels like our own little tropical paradise right in the centre of peaceful Cascais.
Trip highlights include: a visit to Sintra to tour the historical Pena Palace, a traditional tile painting workshop, a Portuguese wine tasting (all vegan of course), cooking demos with our yet to be announced vegan lifestyle expert, a city tour through Lisbon and lots of time to relax, connect and enjoy!
