Explore these residential clusters initially designed during Apartheid that are now buzzing communities. Walk through the Mandela House Museum. Today you will spend the day with an Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist trained in Somatics who has crafted exercises specifically for mothers who are recently postpartum. Somatic exercises are slow, deliberate movements designed to reconnect the brain and muscles by calming the nervous system. These exercises are perfect for postpartum mothers as they help "retrain" the body to move with ease, supporting pain management and stress relief.
Visit one of the largest man-made beaches on the continent of Africa. Yet this beach is exceptionally kid-friendly due to its controlled environment and shallow areas for toddlers. Your baby can play in the beautiful, calm waters, and even experience real sand! It acts as a landlocked tropical paradise with lifeguard supervision, offering a beach experience without dangerous ocean currents.
Discover the country’s convoluted past as you tour Constitution Hill. This centennial building served different regimes and was later used during apartheid years. Here we will also visit Old Fort Prison, where Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Albertina Sisulu, Fatima Meer, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and many others were imprisoned for years. The prison has been converted into a museum that tells the story of South Africa’s journey to democracy.
From the comfort of a spacious all-terrain land cruiser, you will go on a "game drive" where you will have the opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat. Game drives generally occur in the early morning or evening when the animals are most active. We will take a modified route staying at an extra safe distance from animals and wildlife.
