On this expedition, you will visit both Johannesburg and Cape Town which is undeniably one of the most stunning cities in the world. You will learn about South Africa’s troubled past known as the apartheid, taste a variety of some of the world’s finest wines, enjoy a sunset yacht cruise and so much more.

You may choose to cancel your participation in a JWJ trip at any time; however please note to the following cancellation policy below:

At JWJ Travels, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. You have the option to cancel your initial reservation within the first 14 days after making the initial deposit, but please note that the deposit itself is non-refundable, and cannot be transferred to another trip. 

All payments made toward the balance of your trip are non-refundable after five (5) days of the payment being made. This includes full payments, and monthly or weekly instalment payments and any late fees.

It is advised to purchase trip cancellation insurance as a precaution, in the unlikely event that JWJ Travels may cancel, modify or postpone the Getaway or any part of it for mitigating/extenuating circumstances. 

Please also note that JWJ Travels is not liable for any incidental expenses or consequential losses sustained as a result of your booking being cancelled. This includes but is not limited to:

•        Flights, train tickets, or other transportation fees

>Welcome dinner:  Later on in the evening you will join other travel buddies for dinner. This will be an excellent opportunity for everyone to introduce themselves and become acquainted. Additionally, important information will be shared to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the stay.

On this guided experience of the city, you will explore the vibrant heart of South Africa as you venture through Johannesburg’s most iconic districts. 

This tour offers a deep dive into the city’s past, present, and future, highlighting key landmarks, bustling neighbourhoods, and significant historical sites such as the Apartheid museum & Soweto (including Vilakazi Street, where Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu once lived.)

Later we will enjoy a night out in town! You will get to experience Amapiano (and some afrobeats ) music scene in full swing.

Today you will walk with lions in the African Bush, guided by experienced and trained guides. You will get to interact & play with baby lion cubs & observe the lions in their natural environment.

Enjoy a full day African game drive in an open air safari vehicle and spot the Big 5- lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffalos at Pilansburg Safari. In addition, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos, hyenas crocodiles and the Cape wild dog,  impala, antelope, bontebok, blesbuck, and nyala graze over the plains.

Cape Town, South Africa's Jewel is a breathtaking coastal city known for its stunning landscapes, rich history, bustling  waterfront, world class vineyards and diverse culinary scene.

We set sail along Cape Town’s stunning coastline. You will cruise through the harbour at sunset with a glass of champagne and savour a 3-course meal with scenic harbour views. Witness a breathtaking sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. This unforgettable experience offers you panoramic views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the city skyline.

Discover the charm and history of Cape Town on this guided tour that takes you through its most iconic locations. 

Includes:

- A scenic drive through Cape Town’s historic and modern districts.

- Visits to key landmarks such as V&A Waterfront, a cable car experience to Table Mountain for panoramic city views, & the  Bo-Kaap known for its colourful & vibrant houses.

On this guided tour we will visit Robben Island, located just off the coast of Cape Town.  Here you will visit the historic prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years- a powerful symbol of South Africa’s history.

You will have the unique experience of being guided by former political prisoners, providing an insightful and moving experience. Explore the infamous prison cell, the quarry where prisoners laboured, and other significant landmarks, while learning about the struggle for freedom and the journey to democracy. A trip to Robben Island is both educational and deeply emotional, offering a unique glimpse into South Africa’s troubled past.

Experience the thrill of ATV riding or sandboarding on Cape Town’s breathtaking White Dunes, just outside the city. Navigate across the vast, rolling soft, white sand dunes for our adrenaline junkies. 

Unwind on the stunning beaches of Camp's bay, go shopping or take a scenic helicopter ride at your own expense. 

We can recommend extra activities for you to enjoy on your day off.

South Africa is renowned for its exceptional wines, and today you will have the opportunity to indulge in a world class wine tasting experience in Cape Town's breathtaking Winelands, home to some of S.A's finest vineyards. 

You will have the chance to savour  the finest reds and white wine.

Embark on the breathtaking Cape Peninsula Drive, a journey along one of the world’s most scenic coastal routes. Expect stunning ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and iconic stops like Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, and Boulders Beach, home to African penguins. 

In the evening, we will have a lovely farewell dinner.
