Announcement: The Tien Shan mountain system in Central Asia covers the territory of 5 countries. Most of it lies on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and part of southern Kazakhstan. The most picturesque part of it is - the ranges of Kyungoy Ala-Too and Terskei Ala-Too covers the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, the Chui and Issyk-Kul valleys of Kyrgyzstan.
In this way, this tour passes through the most beautiful places of nature in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, such as Altyn-Emel National Park, Charyn Canyons, Kolsay and Kaindy lakes, Issik-Kul region with most beautiful gorges like Altyn-Arashan and Jety-Oguz, Barskoon, Fairy Tale and Konorchek Canyons, Song-Kul lake and etc.
The tour program includes visiting of historic places and museums, meeting with local people and culture, participate in local holiday events, horse riding, eagle hunting, bathing in hot springs, overnight in yurt and homestay, hiking in the mountains, skitour at wintertime and etc.
- Tour of the program for 12 days, but can be extended up to 13 days depending the situation on the mountain roads.
- The total distance of the tour path is 2100 km.
- The cost of the tour includes accommodations in guesthouses or homestays and meals 3 times a day, on some days lunch in the form of snacks and dry rations, payment for entry at all facilities, horseback riding.
- Program and route for winter time is different: Border in Kegen-Karkyra closed for 6 months (1 november till 30 april), from the programm excluded Ala-Kul and Song-Kul lakes, Jety Oguz gorge and Eagle hunting.
- Vehicle - TLC Prado 95 (2001), 4x4. Maximum 5 person.
Day 1 - Starting from Almaty to Big Almaty lake and Cosmo station. Hiking and short excursion. Driving to Medeo Sport complex. Departure to Altyn Emel National Park (250 km). If we will have time we can do short stop in Tamgaly-Tas petroglyphs history complex. Overnight in guesthouse.
Day 2 - Altyn Emel National Park hiking and excursion to Singing Dunes and Sack Kurgans. Departure and short city excursion in Jarkent city (130 km). Overnight in guesthouse.
Day 3 - Driving to the Charyn Canyon and relict ash groves (180 km). Hiking and excursion there. Departure and overnight in the Saty village, guesthouse like homestay (90 km).
Day 4 - Horse riding and hiking to the Kolsai lakes. Trip to the Kaindy Lake. Return and overnight in the Saty village.
Day 5 - Departure to the Kyrgyzstan, Altyn-Arashan gorge (230 km). Crossing the border between Kegen village and Karkyra valley. By the way short stop in San-Tash village and Jyrgalan valley view points. Driving or horse riding last 18 km from Ak-Suu village to Altyn-Arashan gorge. Hotsprings and overnigth in yurt.
Day 6 - Ala-Kul lake trekking through most beautiful places of Altyn-Arashan gorge. Horse riding till Ala-Kul pass, than hiking to lake. Hotsprings and overnigth in yurt.
Day 7 - Departure to the Karakol city (40 km). Short cultural and food program there. Driving to Jety-Oguz gorge (70 km). Hiking to waterfall. Overnight in yurt.
Day 8 - Hiking to Oguz-Bashy glacier. Overnight in yurt.
Day 9 - Departure to the Barskoon gorge and Ara-Bel plateau (130 km). Trip through the pass Barskoon (3900 m) to the high mountain lakes and pastures. Return to the gorge and excursion to the waterfalls. Trip and excursion to Canyon Fairy Tale (80 km). Overnight in the Yurt camp on the shore of the Issik-Kul lake.
Day 10 - Driving to the Bokonbaevo village (25 km) for eagle hunting show. After lunch departure to the Song-Kul lake (220 km). Overnight in the Yurt camp
Day 11 - Hiking and boating in Song-Kul. Departure to the Chaek village (130 km) after dinner. Overnight in guesthouse.
Day 12 - Departure to the Bishkek (250 km). Our road through very scenic places along Kokomeren river to Suusamyr Valley. Suusamyr Valley is a high plateau in the center of the Western Tien-Shan and the largest jailoo (pasture) in Kyrgyzstan. Here you will see huge herds of sheep and horses and you can drink the best koumiss in the country, possibly in the world :). Then we will drive the picturesque and lively pass Too Ashuu and go to the Bishkek.
