Arrive in South Africa ready to start your adventure of a lifetime! As soon as you arrive, you can switch your brain off as we take care of you from the Arrivals Hall until you're back at the airport for departure. The pick-up will be waiting to take you to the reserve.
Once you reach the camp, you will be shown your accommodation in the heart of the reserve, surrounded by Africa's majestic wildlife. Enjoy dinner around the campfire and listening to the surrounding jackals and lions' roars as you sleep.
Message us to confirm airport and pick-up time. For the safety of the animals we only release the location to participants who have booked and paid. The ariport will be Johannesburg.
Assist the Vet with critical conservation activities prioritised by most threatened or at-risk animals. These interventions range from rhino dehorning and satellite tagging, to predator collaring, game capture and elephant translocation
Your place helps fund the full operation, including covering the costs for the helicopter used to dart the animals, all medicine and equipment involved, satellite collars, vet fees and transportation.
This experience is usually inaccessible to the public. You will be taking part in this intervention and getting hands-on with the procedures and health checks, working alongside the Conservation Pilot, Reserve Management, the Anti-Poaching Unit and a qualified Wildlife Vet.
Spend the remaining days immersed in a variety of conservation-based activities, such as:
Community outreach – Visit a local school to help judge the Rhino Art Competition (where winners earn a stay on the reserve), spend time at a traditional Zulu homestead, support a local crèche, and meet inspiring community “Grannies” who upcycle plastic bags into hats and bathmats.
Anti-poaching patrol – Walk alongside rangers to check for snares and signs of poaching, experiencing conservation on the frontlines. Depending on the availability of the K9 unit, you may also witness or participate in a K9 anti-poaching walk demonstration, where highly trained dogs showcase their incredible skills in detecting poachers and protecting wildlife.
Big Five bush walk – Venture on foot, under the protection of an armed guard, to encounter Africa’s iconic wildlife and connect with the bush in a way vehicles can’t provide.
Tracks, signs, and telemetry – Learn to interpret animal tracks and behavior, and practice locating collared wildlife using telemetry technology.
Day and night game drives – Witness the reserve’s wildlife by day and discover its elusive nocturnal creatures after dark.
Organised transfer back to Johannesburg airport
