About this trip

Southeast 8th Graders will have a wonderful, educational trip in our Nation's Capitol! This tour departs Thursday, May 1st and returns Friday, May 2nd 2025.   Price is $330 per student (36 students per bus) and includes 1 nights' lodging at the Hilton Washington Dulles Hotel in VA, 5 meals, admission to many sightseeing areas throughout the DC area, two (2) custom t-shirts, and Security, Chaperones, taxes & gratuities.  Note: price may decrease to $315 if 40 students per bus or $300 if 44 students per bus.

THURSDAY, MAY 1

-Barons Bus Lines motorcoaches arrive Southeast MS at 6:00am, Depart 6:30am

-Restroom Stop Oakmont Plaza, Pa. Turnpike approx. 8:30am (restroom only, no purchases

-Lunch/restroom Stop at Breezewood Gateway Plaza (Cheeseburger or Chicken Tenders, Chips, Bottled Water)

-US Capitol Building 1:30pm * Tour Times TBA

-American History Smithsonian 3-4:15pm

-White House 4:30-5:15pm * Souvenir Shopping at “Honest Abes” if requested

-Dinner at Reagan Commerce Food Court 5:30pm-6:30pm * Dinner Voucher

-Marine Iwo Jima Memorial Statue 6:45pm

-Check-In Hotel 7:30pm Hilton Washington Dulles Hotel Herndon, Va. 

-Room Check & Goodnight 10pm – “Student Watchers” Security on Duty 10pm-6am


FRIDAY, MAY 2

-Buffet Breakfast At Hotel 7:00 Depart Hotel 8am

-WWII, Lincoln, MLK, FDR, Jefferson Memorials 8:45-11am

-Lunch at Pentagon City Food Court 11:15am-12:00pm

-Arlington National Cemetery 12:15pm- 2pm (See Changing of the Guard at Tomb of Unknown Solders, Visit President John F Kennedy Gravesite)

-Depart for Home 2pm

-Dinner Stop at Breezewood Gateway Plaza 4:00pm (Personal Pizzas, Chips, Bottled Water)

-Restroom Stop Ohio Turnpike Border Plaza

-Arrive back at Southeast MS 8:30pm
