About this trip

At TripUSAFrance we are a small family run tour company that specializes in small group tours of France. It was started by Julia Girard-Gervois, a native from the South of France who wanted to use her passion for travel as a way to share her knowledge and help people experience French culture in an authentic way, like a local, by creating tours that are balanced with history, culture, and activities. Our tours have received glowing reviews from past travelers on TripAdvisor, and Sandra worked with us to create the perfect Provence tour, just for you!

On this 9 day adventure designed exclusively for a small group of travelers, not only will you enjoy the historical sites and hidden gems of Provence and Occitanie, but you will also discover the culture and traditions of the Southern French by visiting a truffle farm and learning to hunt with the dogs, sampling the herbs of Provence straight from fields, discovering the secrets of Marseille soap-making passed on from generation to generation, sampling olive oil at a mill, tasting the French wine at the vineyards, picnicking with locals, going to the market, hanging with the cowboys of the Camargue at the ranch, and more!

More than a vacation, TripUSAFrance has created an experience that you will remember for years!

We started this company to help people who are in love with France to have a cultural trip where they can experience the country as temporary locals, not the average tourists bouncing around in a crowd or waiting in long lines and getting stuck in tourist traps. We will help you make a deeper connection with the country and understand what it is like to live there, while fulfilling the desire to see amazing sites and make lasting memories.

We had a great time. Jonathan was the BEST guide - patient, calm, knowledgeable. Accommodations were lovely, especially in Bayeaux, even though some might not say so (!) We would certainly recommend this trip to anyone.

Great trip! Guides were terrific, food wonderful and the hotel nice and spacious.

An unforgettable trip—perfect in every way: fabulous sites, activities and meals. The wine-tasting and education was terrific! Bordeaux is a gem—not to be missed. As a guide, Julia is a meticulous planner and a whirlwind. She is attentive to the needs and preferences of the participants and creates a fun atmosphere, as well.

The places that we visited were very interesting and the restaurant choices were excellent. The main tour guide was nice, knowledgeable, and a real gentleman. Some of the hotels were not up to our expectations and there were a number of last-minute changes to the itinerary, plus a few disconnects. I already provided separate feedback to Peter.

I was impressed with the knowledge of our guide, Jonathan, in all aspects of the tour, not just his wide historical knowledge, but also his eagerness to familiarize us with the towns we visited as well as recommendations for dining on our free evenings. Our group was a great size and everyone was amenable making for a great atmosphere for learning and fun! Christophe was also impressive with his extensive D-Day knowledge. I enjoyed the personal references to people he has met and their connections to D-Day. I highly recommend this tour. The addition of a short stop at the German cemetery was a great contrast to the American cemetery and added to the experience. Every day of the eight day tour was worth the experience! Thank you.
