This was our first travel experience with Jewel and Cultured Travel. We had a fantastic experience as a family with a group of travelers that became our friends. We enjoyed delicious meals, learned important history, and made special visits to local farms and businesses in the Calabria region of southern Italy. Jewel, with the help of her Italian counterpart, created these experiences that otherwise would not have been possible. I am very much looking forward to my next trip with Jewel and would highly recommend her trips to others!

We had a wonderful time meeting the people of Calabria who are part of the Vera Italia initiative. Starting with Chiara, whose brainchild this organization was, to all those who were so passionate about their life work and enthusiastically shared it with our group! This was our 7th trip with Jewel and we’ve come to realize that travelers who choose Cultured Travel are truly a special breed. With ages ranging from 18- 76, our group became one big family. Of course, the stay in Castello Fiuzzi was icing on the cake of an otherwise incredible experience! I highly recommend traveling with Cultured Travel!!

This trip, as all other Cultured Travel trips, was exceptional! The collaboration with Vera Italia made this an extremely unique experience. Meeting with locals doing the craft that their families have done for generations was spectacular & unforgettable. The activities we did and the people we met highlighted what is so special about the Calabrian region. From picking produce, to making cheese, taking a cooking class, seeing historical sights, staying in a historic castle, and eating the most amazing food, this trip exceeded my wildest dreams. I would highly reccomend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the True Italy!

From the moment we landed, every single detail was a perfect blend of rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and incredible hospitality. Every day was a different experience. The locals were incredibly warm and welcoming, and our Italian guide, Chiara, truly brought the history of the country to life. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. I cannot recommend traveling to Italy with Jewell enough..

Fantastic trip! Everything was well organized; I felt safe and cared for. Activities were well-planned and entertaining. A great bunch of people to travel with and enjoy good times. Highly recommend !
