DAY 2 SARRIA - PORTOMAÍN 

Camino Stage 1: 22 KM. Today, you will be walking the first stretch of your journey to Portomarín, which is 22.2 kilometres. The way will be marked by the famous yellow arrows and scallop shells, and you’ll be able to stop along the way in the many quaint Galician villages for a rest including the village of Barbadelo where you can enjoy the beautiful Romanesque church there.

You will end your trek at the riverside village of Portomarín. Enjoy your descent into the lush Rio Mino Valley as you reach the town. Portomarín boasts a vibrant Galician ambiance with café terraces lining the cobblestoned streets and main square. At the end of your walk, you will be transferred back to your Hotel in Sarria.

DAY 3 PORTOMARÍN - PALAS DE REI 

Luggage Transfer on the Camino. Leave your bags at reception this morning by 08.00hrs. Our local Camino expert will transfer your luggage to your next hotel today. Your luggage will be waiting for you at your hotel at the end of the day. Camino Stage 2: 25KM. Today will be your longest trek yet: 25km to the town of Palas de Rei. Along the way, you’ll pass through beautiful green countryside and quaint villages. 

At the end of your walk, you will be transferred to a 4 Star Boutique Hotel minutes from the town centre. This historic building property is more than 300 years old and retains its original stone walls. Relax and recover at the spa and enjoy the hotel’s restaurant, bar, lounge and outdoor terrace. A little beyond your hotel is the Castle of Pambre, a site worth visiting! You’ll have a double room reserved for 1 night, including breakfast, services, and tax.

DAY 4 PALAS DE REI - RIBADISO 

Luggage Transfer on the Camino. Leave your bags at reception this morning by 08.00hrs. Your luggage will be waiting for you at your hotel at the end of the day. Camino Stage 3: 25 km. Today is the longest walk of your Camino journey at 25.7 kilometres to just before the town of Arzua. 

Along the way, you’ll pass through the town of Melide, famous for its local octopus dish. Enjoy the change of the trees from oak and chestnut to eucalyptus and pine as you arrive near Arzua.

At the end of your walk, you will be transferred to a 4 Star 18th-century Pazo house, set in 35,000 m² of gardens. A historic 18th-century property with original stone walls and wooden-beamed ceilings, the Pazo offers pilgrims a charming and spacious resting place along their journey. Enjoy the hotel’s fabulous restaurant and a terrace bar with impressive views, as well as the library and lounge with an open fireplace. You’ll have a superior room for 2 nights, including breakfast, services and tax.

DAY 5 RIBADISO - O PEDROUZO Camino Stage 4: 21 KM. 

Today’s walk will be 21 kilometres. Enjoy a quieter section of the Camino, taking you through lush meadows and across several streams and through fairytale forests. You’ll pass through several sleepy villages along the way, as well as the medieval shrine dedicated to a Portuguese martyr at Santa Irene. At the end of your walk, you will be transferred back to your previous night 4 Star Pazo House.

DAY 6 O PEDROUZO - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA 

Luggage Transfer on the Camino. Leave your bags at reception this morning by 08.00hrs. Camino Stage 5: 20 KM. The final stretch of your Camino journey is 20.2 kilometres, ending in front of the famed Cathedral of Santiago. You’ll pass through Lavacolla, where pilgrims traditionally washed themselves before arriving in the city. You’ll also pass Monte del Gozo, or Mount of Joy, where you’ll have a panoramic view of Santiago and see for the first time the spires of the Cathedral.

Arriving into the city, enjoy your achievement as thousands of pilgrims have before you in Praza do Obradoiro square. Your hotel is right next door. DAY 7 FREE DAY IN SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA 

Private Walking Tour and Massage. Highlights in Santiago include a morning guided Walking Tour though Santiago de Compostela, capital of Galicia and a UNESCO World Heritage City, and a relaxing afternoon massage after your long walk.

This tour starts at the Cathedral in Plaza del Obradoiro where you will learn its history, how St. James came to Galicia, the reason why he is buried in Santiago and the origin of the Camino. You will visit the the main squares around the Cathedral - Plaza de la Inmaculada, Plaza de la Quintana, Plaza de Platerías - and discover their significance for the city. The tour will continue to the Alameda park to ‘meet’ the two Marías and finish at the colourful Abastos food market where you will learn about and sample Galician cuisine.

DAY 8 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - TOLEDO 

Transfer to Santiago de Compostela Airport. Connecting flight to Madrid Airport. Airport transfer from Madrid airport to Toledo. The final section of this trip is a 2 night stay in Toledo, the former Spanish capital before Madrid. Its historic quarter –a UNESCO World Heritage Site– still preserves its original medieval layout, making it a fascinating place to visit. You will stay at the 4 Star Parador Hotel for 2 nights. The Parador hotel is housed in an impressive old building which boasts magnificent views of the historical centre of Toledo, including its famous cathedral. You’ll enjoy your private room, outdoor swimming pool, large restaurant and hotel’s terrace, a great place to admire the city and sunset. You’ll have a double room reserved for 2 nights, including breakfast, services and tax.

Private Walking and Culinary Tour of Toledo. On this tour through Toledo’s narrow, winding streets you will discover a series of incredible buildings, still very much alive both inside and out.
