This was quite the adventure! We loved the trip and we had a wonderful guide in Juan Manuel. He worked hard to make sure we ALL saw as many birds as possible - 475 for the trip, I believe. Giovanni made sure we had very nice accommodations and as smooth a tour as possible. We LOVED Colombia.

The company management (Giovani) was quick to act on all requests and solve all minor issues. Our guide (Juan Manuel Cardona) was outstanding, as was our driver (John). Accommodations and food met or exceeded expectations. The birding was highly successful.
I recommend Icaro Birding Tours for anyone considering a birding trip to Colombia.

This birding trip was a very well organized 12 day excursion. All of the accommodation was good and the birding locations were all very productive. Daily species counts ranged from 60-70+. The guide was very experienced and hit almost all of his target birds in each location. Be sure to be well rested before you come on this trip. I was the youngest of 5 clients but I was the one who found it the most tiring. An umbrella and poncho are a must too! Cheers
