"Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the whale." (Jonah 2:1) Just as Jonah encountered God in the "belly of the whale," we also long for safe space amidst our stormy and busy lives to encounter God - space where we can express our spiritual longings, ask the challenging questions, and nurture a genuine relationship with the Divine. Belly of the Whale Ministries provide just this sort of safe space to dive deeper into a meaningful life of faith.

This was a fantastic retreat! I left feeling restored and renewed physically, mentally, and spiritually. In addition, the food and accommodations added to the restorative experience. Highly recommend.

The moment I arrived I knew clearly why I had come to this retreat! It was so peaceful overall and YES, good food, great people, lovely accommodations, peace and joy abounding!! Sharon our wonderful retreat leader did a fantastic job of making us feel welcomed, comfortable, and secure. Topics presented were interesting, heartfelt, and spiritual! I had everything I needed to have an awesome learning experience, taking some time for reflection, prayer, and play! I would definitely recommend this retreat! Beth Hyland

A beautiful, spiritual and enriching retreat experience from the welcome gathering to its heartfelt closing circle. The Jesuit Retreat Center was in a lovely setting of gardens and woodland trails. Sharon, the leader and originator of this renewing retreat, provided a deep dive into a guided sacred silence with many creative, playful and meaningful offerings using the Jonah story as our invitation "to be still enough to know and bold enough to go." I highly recommend this wonderfully moving and rejuvenating retreat to all who seek 'time away' for self reflection and spiritual contemplation with gentle encouragement to bring our unique light into the world.

This was, by far, one of the very best retreats of which I have ever been a part!
