On landing at the airport the group will be met by a driver and escorted to the luxury coach and you won't need to worry about any driving on any side of the road. You will spend the next 7 days living it up like Kings and Queens and exploring the many wonders that Ireland has to offer.

Once you arrive at the Castle you will be met for an introduction to your home for the week before settling into your luxurious surroundings and recuperating after your flight.

Afterwards, a traditional Irish dinner awaits you and served in style across the hall in the formal dining room.

Start the day with a scrumptious Irish breakfast and make your way into South county Tipperary to the historic heritage  town of Cahir.

Visit is the Swiss Cottage, located in a walled park of 800 acres. A delightful “cottage orné” built in the early 1800′s by the 1st Earl of Glengall to a design by the famous Regency architect John Nash. This fully restored National Monument’s interior contains a graceful spiral staircase and elegantly decorated rooms. Originally part of the estate of Lord and Lady Cahir, the “fantasy” cottage was used for entertaining guests.

Tour of the medieval Cahir Castle, one of Ireland’s largest and best-preserved medieval castles. Cahir Castle was built on a rocky island in the middle of the River Suir and has been featured in two major films. “Tristan and Isolde” with Richard Burton and “Excalibur” with Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, and Gabriel Byrne.

There is a beautiful tree-lined river walk that leads from the Swiss Cottage to Cahir Castle and we recommend it to anyone who wants to walk it and we’ll take anyone who doesn’t wish to walk around by the road to the castle for a great tour.

After the tour of the castle, you’ll have free time to explore the town and have lunch on your own in one of the many cafes, pubs and restaurants before the group embarks on a spectacular mountainous drive over the  Vee gap with panoramic views, stone walls and sheep crossing the road, this is postcard Ireland.

You're in Ireland. You need to celebrate! Irish musicians will come to the castle to perform on this night after dinner.

Experience the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Bunratty castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland. Built in 1425 it was restored in 1954 to its former medieval splendor and now contains mainly 15th and 16th-century furnishings, tapestries, and works of art, which capture the mood of those times. Within the grounds of Bunratty Castle is Bunratty Folk Park where 19th century life is vividly recreated. Set on 26 acres, the park features over 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting. Make time for the famous Durty Nelly's Pub and the Blarney Woolen Mills shop.  

Then you're off to the Cliffs of Moher,   one of Ireland’s top visitor attractions and a designated UNESCO Geo Park. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O’Brien’s Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs, one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South. There are long walks along the cliffs ideal for stretching the legs and panoramic views out over the Atlantic ocean.

Discover the charm and history of Dublin today. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a foodie, or a beer lover, Dublin offers something for everyone.

Once in the city, visit to the Guinness Storehouse, where you’ll learn about the rich history of Ireland’s most famous stout. The interactive exhibits will guide you through the brewing process and culminate with a panoramic view of the city from the Gravity Bar.

Visit Trinity College to see the Book of Kells/ The Book of Kells is an illuminated religious manuscript from the medieval period, so much a work of art with its intricate pages.. Written in Latin, it contains the four Gospels of the NewTestament.

There is so much to see and do, so you'll have free time, with your guide's advice on how to maximize your experience, before boarding the coach for the long ride back to Tipperary.

Kilkenny is a beautiful city with a tremendous sense of character, history and culture. Your first stop will be the focal point of the city, Kilkenny Castle, with a tour of this 12th-century castle and time to explore the magnificent grounds.

You'll enjoy the afternoon with time on your own, exploring the quaint and bustling city centre where you are sure to find lots to interest you including shops, pubs and great places to eat.

*Directly across the street from Castle is the famous Kilkenny Design Centre, situated in what was once the stables of Kilkenny Castle and is fittingly located adjacent to the National Craft Gallery,  one of Ireland’s most exciting artistic venues. The Centre’s unequalled supplier list, drawn from Ireland’s most eminent craftspeople and designers, gives visitors a uniquely special shopping experience. A world-renowned selection of jewellery, knitwear, Celtic gifts, china & crystal, pottery & glass, home & fashion accessories and one-off contemporary design pieces are available.

After your day of sightseeing, return to the castle to relax and enjoy a scrumptious 4-course evening meal before heading out to the Monks Pub (O’Gorman’s) for a traditional Irish music session. Every Wednesday, a group of local musicians gather in O’Gorman’s pub, enjoying the craic and playing traditional music into the early hours of the morning. Some nights can see up to 14 musicians gather, guaranteeing ‘craic agus ceoil’ (fun and music) to be had by all, not to mention the plentiful creamy pints of Guinness you may enjoy while chatting with the locals.

Visit the historic maritime town of Cobh. The Heritage Town of Cobh is located on Great Island, which is in a prominent position at the heart of Cork Harbour. The town has a proud maritime heritage. Cobh was the main embarkation point for the millions of Irish who left these shores in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries in search of a better life in North America. Cobh was the final departure point for the doomed Titanic on its fatal voyage; 123 passengers boarded the ship in Cobh. Cobh is also the final resting place of many of the victims of the Lusitania sinking in 1915.

Experience the “Queenstown Story”, the story of Irish Emigration. Follow the story from the 1600s when transportation to the British overseas colonies was commonplace, from Virginia and New England to Barbados, Jamacia and Monserrat. This beautiful, informative and sometimes emotive exhibition is situated within Cobh’s beautifully restored Victorian railway station, a building with its own historic story.

Your last day of touring will be a local day, as we won’t be traveling too far, no more than twenty minutes from the castle,

First stop is Holycross Abbey, a 12th century Cistercian Abbey. Holycross is a very special and sacred place where you can walk in the footsteps of ancient Monks. Experience first-hand, through local guides, the story of Holycross, spanning 10 centuries of a changing social, political and religious landscape, in the very heart of Ireland.

From Holycross, we’ll take a short drive south to the historic town of Cashel, which is home to the iconic Rock of Cashel. Here you will have time to lunch and explore this beautiful historic town and all it has to offer including shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants before we take an official tour of the rock.

he Rock of Cashel, iconic in its historic significance, possesses the most impressive cluster of medieval buildings in Ireland. “The rock was long ago the main seat of the High Kings of Ireland and is now one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland. It’s huge, it’s complex, it’s iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it’s right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary.

Sadly, your Splendor of Ireland comes to a close. There will be a group transfer to the Dublin Airport for your return flights depending on the earliest departing flight time of the group, this can be early as flights to the US usually leave quite early.

If the departure time of the coach allows, and isn’t too early, breakfast is available to all, otherwise, coffee and pastries will be available for a quick breakfast.
