About this trip

Give and Surf is a small, volunteer driven nonprofit organization that empowers the local indigenous communities of Bocas del Toro, Panama through education and community development.  Bocas del Toro is a beautiful archipelago off the Caribbean coast of Panama that has beautiful beaches, amazing surf breaks, and a myriad of outdoor activities & adventures to participate in!  Hundreds of volunteers from around the world visit us each year to help with our programs, be immersed in the local culture, and enjoy the world class surf breaks.

This alternative college spring break trip will give participants a culturally immersive experience that combines a variety of activities & experiences in the local Ngobe communities along with surfing and other excursions around the beautiful Bocas del Toro islands.
All levels of surfers welcome! No previous experience necessary. Participants can choose the beginner or advanced surf package. Beginners will be provided with group lessons while advanced surfers can surf some of Bocas’ best breaks!

When living in remote island communities, we often face unpredictable situations, such as rainy weather conditions, power outages, and other challenges, that may result in changes to the itinerary below. The projects and activities to help with will vary throughout the year. We will do our best to adapt schedules to ensure that participants get to experience everything we have planned.
