Join Camp Singers MAY 15-17 and SEPTEMBER 11-13 for a hands-on ceramic pit firing workshop in the stunning Catskills! Over the course of the weekend, learn the ancient art of pit firing—where ceramics are fired in an open pit using both natural and human made materials to create rich, organic surface patterns. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you'll discover the techniques of this primitive firing method and leave with one-of-a-kind ceramics, a deeper appreciation for the process, and a connection to the natural world around you.
This is a beginner-friendly camp with instruction suitable for all skill levels. BYO Bisqueware (ceramic piece that have been fired, but not yet glazed).
Campers will enjoy meals together, recreational options like hiking, boating, hot tub, sauna, fishing, campfires, archery, stargazing, birding, arts & crafts, and swimming in our pond or at our pool club.
Prices listed are per person.
