About this trip

Join us for a blissful retreat at Sierra Hot Springs over Mother's Day Weekend! The hot springs is a location known for its healing properties. Start your day with an all levels yoga class and guided meditation. During free times, take a dip in the invigorating hot springs, hike through the enchanted forest, receive a massage, or simply relax with a book in the historic lodge or on the porch.


Savor mouthwatering breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by the talented chefs in the Philosophy Cafe, included as part of this wellness retreat. Rustic accommodations include cozy rooms within the historic main lodge, or you may bring your tent and camp under the stars.


Classes are led by experienced and dedicated teacher, Christie Pitko, E-RYT 500. 

Things to Know

  • This retreat is for students 18 years of age and older.
  •  We welcome all levels of yoga practitioners, including beginners, but it is recommended   to have some yoga experience before signing up. Please know basic yoga poses.
  • Alcohol is not permitted at Sierra Hot Springs.
  • Please note that the hot springs are clothing optional.
  • If you are booking a shared room, you MUST bring another person with you and you will be sharing a queen bed.

Friday, May 8th

Arrival - 3:00- 4:00pm (Note that rooms are not ready until 4pm, but we encourage early arrivals. You can relax in the lodge, or explore outside!)

Yoga - 5:00pm

Dinner - 6:30pm

Group Welcome and Meditation - 7:30pm


Saturday, May 9th

Meditation and Yoga - 8:00am

Breakfast - 9:30am

Free time to soak in the springs, massage, hike, etc.

Lunch - 1:00pm

Free time following lunch

Therapeutic/Slow Flow Yoga - 5:00pm

Dinner - 6:30pm

Workshop or Activity TBA - 7:30pm


Sunday, May 10th

Meditation and Yoga - 8:00am

Breakfast - 9:00am

Check out of room- 11:00am

You can stay afterwards to enjoy the hot springs until 5:00pm

She enjoys helping students stay curious about the inner landscape of their bodies and minds through yoga and meditation. Christie is grateful for all that she has learned from her teachers, Annie Carpenter, Richard Rosen, Judith Lasater, and Leah Gillman. Christie hosts 4-5 yoga retreats per year.

I met great people on this trip, I felt at home and welcomed The Yoga was inspiring and exactly what I needed from the trip. I loved the location and the food was amazing.
The semi-rustic airs of Sierra Hot Springs, mixed with Christie Pitko's Yoga, made for a fabulous retreat. Plus the people who attend are just lovely human beings. Get off your hamster wheel and go to Christie Pitko's Retreat in the high Sierra mountains beside one of the largest valley's in the western United States. Populated mainly by cattle and surrounded by mountains. Take a hike or soak your bones in healing waters in the forest. Have a massage or loll with a good book in a body hugging couch beside a fire. The food is wonderful and locally sourced, cooked fresh every day. (desserts are scrummy!) And the yoga and meditation are catered for any level, making you feel super awesome afterwards. Thanks so much. I'll be back!
Had an awesome time in Sayulita with Christie and the group!
This was my first yoga retreat and the bar was set high! It truly was a magical time...the hotel was superb and very clean with great friendly service. The daily vegetarian breakfast was amazing...something for everyone. Christie added a lot of nice touches. She's a highly skilled yoga teacher and was able to teach to many levels from beginner to more advanced with clear alignment based instruction. I like the combination of vinyasa/restorative styles of yoga as well as yoga nidra and meditation. I highly recommend this retreat to everyone!
I had a great time. The hotel was wonderful- I loved the city. The yoga instruction was expert and fun!
