Hi, my name is Kaliah! Traveling has completely changed my life. After teaching English in Barcelona in 2019 the travel bug never left. Now as a full-time travel content creator my hope is simple; to inspire all women to travel. To grow the way I grew. To expand their minds, their worldviews, and their sense of self. Day 1

ARRIVE SRI LANKA

Once you arrive in Sri Lanka, you'll be picked up from Colombo International Airport. After meeting the other members of the group, we'll head to our hotel in Negombo for the night. After checking in, you'll meet your group leader and local tour guide, who will share useful tips for exploring Sri Lanka, including some do's and don'ts.

The rest of the day is yours to relax, whether that means lounging by the pool, hitting the gym, or enjoying the beach. In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome dinner and drinks, giving us all a chance to get to know each other.

PIDURANGALA ROCK

After breakfast, we travel to the Dambulla Cave Temple. Discover one of Sri Lanka’s best-preserved ancient sacred sites, home to centuries-old murals and hundreds of Buddha statues carved into rock shelters. As you explore this remarkable cave temple complex, your guide will share its rich history and cultural significance. You will also have the opportunity to make a traditional offering of flowers to the Buddha, a meaningful gesture of respect and reflection in this sacred place.

After the experience, we proceed to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.

We’ll continue to the famous Pidurangala Rock. To end our action-packed day, we’ll take a sunset hike to the Pidurangala Buddhist monastery, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Sunset and the iconic Sigiriya Lion's Rock. Of course, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to snap some amazing sunset photos for your Instagram! Finally, we’ll spend the night in Sigiriya.

SIGIRIYA LION’S ROCK

This morning, we’ll climb the iconic Sigiriya Lion's Rock. As you make your way up, you’ll uncover the rich history of this ancient rock fortress and marvel at the stunning 1,600-yearold frescoes. Our local guide will share all the fascinating details about the history and significance of the fortress.

Next, we’ll visit Hiriwaduna Village, where you’ll get a taste of traditional rural life in Sri Lanka. You’ll start with a bull-cart ride and canoeing on the lake to reach the village, where a lovely local woman will welcome the group and teach you how to prepare traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry—a perfect way to learn some cooking skills!

In the evening, we’ll head to Minneriya National Park to witness ‘The Gathering’ , the largest gathering of wild Asian elephants in the World, and considered one of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles by Lonely Planet. We’ll wrap up the day and spend the night in Sigiriya.

KANDY CITY EXPLORATION

This morning, we’ll drive to Kandy. On the way, we’ll stop at a Spice & Herbal Garden to learn about natural Ayurvedic medicine—a truly educational experience. Once we arrive in Kandy, we’ll take a stroll through the Royal Botanical Garden, where you can admire colorful flowers, hundreds of orchids, and much more.

You’ll also have the chance to visit the Gem Museum, where you can discover the history of Sri Lanka’s precious gems, including the world-famous Ceylon sapphires. We’ll also stop by the Art and Craft Center to learn about the island's rich artistic heritage.

For lunch, we’ll enjoy a meal by Sri Lanka’s longest river, a perfect spot to relax and take in the beautiful views of the river and surrounding hills.

In the evening, we’ll attend the Kandy Cultural Show, which features traditional Fire dancing and performances. Later, we’ll visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic during the ceremony, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness offerings and receive a blessing.

CEYLON TEA

Today, we’ll travel to Nuwara Eliya, also known as Little England. As we drive through the hills, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of lush green landscapes and cool, misty air.

On the way, we’ll stop at the stunning Ramboda Waterfalls, a perfect spot for photos, before continuing to a working tea factory. Here, you’ll see how the world-famous Ceylon Tea is made—from the tender leaves to the final cup. You’ll even have the chance to taste fresh Ceylon tea right at its source— definitely a highlight of the day!

Later, we’ll take one of the most Scenic Train Rides in the world, heading to the beautiful hill resort of Ella. The views along the way are truly unforgettable. We’ll spend the night in Ella, where you can relax and enjoy the charming atmosphere of this lovely town.

LITTLE ADAM’S PEAK HIKE

Today is a day to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Ella. After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a hike to Little Adam's Peak, a relatively easy climb that offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Later, we’ll take a short hike to the famous Nine Arches Bridge. We’ll wait here for the iconic blue train to pass by, giving you the perfect opportunity to snap some amazing photos.

In the afternoon, we’ll drive to the Tissamaharama Lake District, located near Yala National Park. This scenic area is a peaceful spot to unwind, and we’ll spend the night in Tissamaharama, getting ready for our adventure in Yala tomorrow.

YALA GAME DRIVE

Today, we’ll spend the entire day on an exciting Game Drive through Yala National Park. The main focus will be spotting the park’s incredible wildlife, including sloth bears, leopards, colorful birds, and many other species. It’s an amazing opportunity to see these animals in their natural habitat, and our experienced guide will help you spot and identify the wildlife.

We’ll have both breakfast and lunch packed, so we can enjoy the day without interruption, making the most of this thrilling safari adventure. Get your cameras ready—you’re in for a wildlife experience like no other!

SURF LESSION

This morning, we’ll drive to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Galle. On the way, we’ll make a stop in Mirissa, a popular Surf town on Sri Lanka's south coast. Here, you’ll have the chance to learn to surf from one of the top surfers in the area —perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers.

We proceed to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.

We’ll visit the house of Sri Lanka’s famous author, Martin Wickramasinghe. The house is now a Folk Art museum, where you’ll get the chance to explore incredible collections linked to Sri Lankan culture and lifestyle. It’s both educational and mesmerizing, offering insight into the country’s traditions and history.

By the evening We visit to witness the traditional Stilt Fishermen in action, a unique and fascinating sight that is part of Sri Lanka’s Coastal heritage.

GALLE FORT WALK

This morning, we’ll head to the Madu River for a serene boat ride through the peaceful mangrove forests. As we cruise along, you’ll have the chance to spot local birds, pass through traditional fishing villages, and simply enjoy the tranquil surroundings. You'll even get to touch a baby crocodile and experience a fish spa—definitely a fun and unique activity!

After lunch, we’ll head to the Sea Turtle Hatchery, where you’ll learn about these fascinating creatures and the important conservation efforts to protect them.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll explore the museum, stroll through the colorful streets, and snap some great photos of this historic fort. You can also treat yourself to some of the best Ice Cream in the area.

Afterward, we’ll gather for a farewell Group Dinner, sharing memories of our amazing journey before saying goodbye to Sri Lanka. It’s been a trip to remember!

DEPARTURE SRI LANKA

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Colombo International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your Sri Lankan journey.
