About this trip

This 10 day yoga immersion in Mt. Shasta, CA is meant for teachers and practitioners alike. While we are offering this 100-hour training as the first part of our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, we welcome all students of yoga who are looking to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga philosophy. It can also be attended as a refresher for yoga teacher graduates looking to emerge themselves in the teachings while on retreat.

Prana, Prana Vayus, Gunas, Subtle Essences, Chakras, Nadis, Bandhas, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (Books 1 and 2), Hatha Yoga, Tantra.


SRI YOGA ALUMNI

If you have graduated from our training program and would like to deepen your connection to the Sri Yoga curriculum by repeating one of our 200-Hour yoga teacher training course then please join us for a refresher at a reduced rate of $1008.


LODGING

Lodging for this immersive experience in Mt. Shasta, CA are separate from the cost of the training. (see add-on options at the registration process)


Lodging is for Friday June 10, with check out on Sunday June 19. Since we are staying in the A frame lodge, there is no partial credit for late arrivals/early departures.


SCHEDULE

You will meet for class each morning at 9 am. Lunch time will be 12:30-3 pm. Afternoon session is 3-6pm. Evening programs/contemplation/study time will vary depending on the topic. We will build in time to enjoy Mt Shasta and the surrounding area. There is no cell service on the property for most people. You will need to drive down the hill to get a signal. There are internet cafes, restaurants, and a grocery store in Weed and Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta also has a natural foods store called Berryvale which also has great lunch options.

- Food. The A Frame house has a large shared kitchen, living room and fireplace. There will be time to cook meals individually or as a group.

- Use of the mineral springs is an additional fee. 

Before You Go

There are internet cafes, restaurants, and a grocery store in Weed and Mount Shasta. Mount Shasta also has a natural foods store called Berryvale which also has great lunch options. You can also bring your own food to cook your own meals in the house.

Jean Mazzei, (E-RYT 500), has logged over 15,000 teaching hours. Often called “a teacher’s teacher,” she is an expert in the subtleties of yoga sadhana (practices), and bringing the practices to life off the mat. Jean believes that everyone is inherently resplendent, and that yoga practice is about uncovering the dust that sits on our light. Her sense of humor and commitment to non-judgment provide a safe place for students to explore, break boundaries, and release layers of physical, emotional, and psychic weight. Her classes draw from many styles and include physical and subtle body alignment, vinyasa krama, pranayama (breath work), visualization (kriya), and deep listening. Brenna Geehan began her journey with yoga, meditation, Tantra, and Ayurveda in 1998. Originally from New York, then Chicago and now San Francisco, Brenna Geehan, E-RYT, is a Level II Certified ParaYoga® Instructor through Yogarupa Rod Stryker. Brenna co-directs Sri Yoga ™ Teacher Trainings with Jean Mazzei and travels nationally offering Yoga seminars. Brenna has over 1,500 hrs of training and over 16 years of experience and specializes in prescribing transformative yoga practices with meditation that addresses her students personal needs. Sri Yoga ™, developed in the Tantric tradition, incorporates a mindful and systematic approach to yoga that is both physical and spiritual and is designed to take you deeper into smarana - the remembrance of who you really are. Working from the inside out, we align energy in order to align the body and your life. By gaining awareness of your power (Shakti) and your energy (Prana) you learn to cultivate these forces that translate to resplendence (Sri) on and off the mat. Classes focus on energetic alignment in asanas (postures), conscious use of the breath (Pranayama), in addition to focus and concentration (Dharana), which combine to take you deeper inside your Self.
