Come with us as we set out to experience southern hospitality in the charming city of Savannah! Known throughout the country as one of America's most beautiful and walkable cities, Savannah is one of our very favorite destinations! After we arrive in Savannah, we will have time to check in to the hotel and you can enjoy the afternoon, and lunch on your own, while strolling along iconic Riverstreet. We will spend the evening getting aquainted with this beautiful city as we board the Savannah Riverboat for a great dinner and entertainment along the Savannah River.

Day two begins with a nice breakfast at the hotel, and a morning trolley tour of the historic district. After a special lunch at Paula Deen's The Lady and Sons Restaurant, we will take a driving tour of Wormsloe State Historic Site with a step on guide. After a tour of the Savannah History Museum, you will be free to dine and shop along Riverstreet at your leisure before calling it a night.

Day three includes time to explore along Tybee Island, where you can walk the beach and capture a few photos of the Tybee Island lighthouse before having lunch on your own along 16th street. We will take a guided tour of the historic Fort Pulaski before giving you the freedom for dinner and more exploration in the historic district on your own.

After breakfast on day four, we tour the impressive Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. Just fifty-three days after the infamous attack on Pearl Harber, the Mighty Eighth Air Force was officially activated in Savannah, Georgia. On our way home, we will stop for you to enjoy lunch, on your own, and reminisce from the unforgettable trip!

With an early departure, we arrive in Charleston, Southern Living Magazine's "Best City" for 2020. Our first stop is the Old City Market where we will have free time for shopping and lunch on your own. Looking for a lunch recommendation? May we suggest Fleet Landing Restaurant or any of the restaurants that line the streets beside the market. After lunch, we head to the Visitor's Center to pick up the tour guide for a fantastic driving tour of the city. On our tour we will stop at The Citadel, Avery Institute, The Battery, AME Church, and more. Following our tour, we will check into the hotel to freshen up for dinner. We will enjoy dinner, together, at the Charleston Crab House.

After breakfast at the hotel, day two begins with a tour of Patriot's Point - the home of the USS Yorktown and destroyer USS Laffey. The site also features a three-acre Vietnam Exhibit, Cold War Memorial, and Medal of Honor Museum. After the tour, we will travel to Sullivan's Island for an included lunch at Poe's Tavern. There will also be time for a quick shopping spree. We will then drive to Fort Moultrie for a short stop. This fort was built in 1776 to defend the city of Charleston from the British during the Revolution. Edgar Allen Poe was stationed here between 1827 and 1828. Sullivan's Island is the setting for Poe's short story "The Gold Bug." We will depart for home and travel through beautiful Beaufort, SC in time for dinner, on your own, and shopping along historic Bay Street. We will have a late arrival back in the Atlanta area.

What an awesome trip! Everything was planned to perfection by APlus Tours: the hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location, the busses were on time and clean and the drivers were the best, lunch at the Pirate House was delicious as was breakfast at Henry's, plenty of free time to explore on your own and a wonderful Christmas Tradition show at the Savannah Theatre and much more. Thank you, Mark and Cheri, for all your hard work to make our travel experience such a positive one!
