About this trip

GOOD FRIDAY INDOOR/OUTDOOR SERVICE - STARTS AT 10AM

The Stations of the Cross are a Christian devotion which commemorates the Passion and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Stations” comes from the Latin word that means to stand. “Of the Cross” refers to the events that surrounded Jesus’ crucifixion on a cross on Calvary. Each of the 14 stations represents an event which occurred during Jesus’ passion and death at Calvary on Good Friday.

Join us at Bethany Retreat Center on Good Friday to walk the Stations of the Cross as you prepare your heart and mind for the celebration of Easter Sunday. This will be an outdoor event where we will gather inside the Prayer Center then walk together to the Stations of the Cross. There will be prayer and reading at each station, culminating at the top of the hill with the Resurrection Cross. We will gather in the Prayer Center, then those praying the outdoor stations will depart from there.

There will be prayer and reading at each station, culminating in the chapel or the top of the hill.

Located on 140 acres of partially wooded land in the hills of Pennsylvania, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful — only 15 miles off Interstate 80.

Keith Kristich someone steeped in the Oneness of God; he uses plain, poetic, compassionate language to express the very difficult concept of God as non-separate from all of us. I am extremely grateful to have Keith in our midst and for the world to have access to him through zoom. People like him come into our lives rarely. I felt steeped in peace and absorbed in the presence of the I AM of God. The retreat center was absolutely lovely in every regard; the staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was amazing!!! The chefs worked very hard to provide delicious, nutritious and plentiful food. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and cozy and cute. The grounds are also amazing... many walking paths, a labyrinth, very impressive stations of the cross boulder sculptures, and the list goes on and on. I look forward to the next conference with Keith.

The Group Drumming Retreat at Bethany Retreat Center was wonderful. Tom, the presenter, planned such a nice variety of activities including group drumming, story telling, movement, and a project. The various activities were tied together with a theme of spirituality. I left the retreat feeling relaxed and at the same time energized for living life!
