A perfect retreat setting! The hosts were wonderfully attentive, the food was great, and the retreat itself was wonderful!

Everyday was a journey and everyday, a story. In the span of a week, I somehow feel as though my soul was reawakened. I journeyed far and wide all while sheltered in Flores del Camino, a sanctuary space that is held by Basia and Bertrand--and during the "Journeys at the Threshold" retreat, was shaped by the magic of Beebe Bahrami. Thank you for weaving all of us participants together. Thank you for the beautiful, home-cooked meals; the courtyard full of flowers; and the warmth of ritual fires.

One would think that writing a review of a retreat dedicated to writing would be easy. But there is so much more. Beebe Bahrami did not disappoint me, I continue to write each day, something I'd avoided for years though I know there is a book inside me. Our hosts provided a most welcoming and comfortable place to devote hours to writing, learning about and how to draw sacred images, thinking fresh thoughts and getting to know the other participants. Each of my 'classmates' could be the inspiration for a book, great people come to this very special place. Then there is the food, prepared with care and served in a buffet style that allows one to assemble just the perfect combination and amount to suit the day. I recall praise for the meals from the others every day, and it was well deserved. Those who were vegetarians or vegans were well served and I enjoyed the vegetarian dishes so much. And the time around the fire each evening defies description, you have to experience it! I'll end with telling a little about how amazing this town is - visually as well as some special kind of spirit that is unique in my travels. We keep coming back because of the factors I mentioned and each experience has exceeded our expectations.

From the moment you enter the gallery doors, the magic of this place is undeniable. Flores del Camino is a sanctuary in the truest sense of the word--and the love, care, and extensive knowledge Bertrand and Basia bring to their work and the retreat space is mind widening and heart opening. They've nurtured something so deeply special.
