Escape the winter blahs with a shopping day trip to Durham and Raleigh. The trip features, The Streets of Southpoint in Durham which is always popular with my passengers due to the abundance of options not available to us at our Coastal homes. Here are just a few worth mentioning, Macy's, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, Crate and Barrel, Sur la Table, Apple, Anthropologie, Brighton and Cole Haan. There will also be plenty of time to enjoy lunch with friends at full service options such as The Cheesecake Factory, Nordstrom Cafe Bistro or Zinburger Wine & Burger. A Food Court is available for the more serious shoppers. New to Southpoint! The popular catalog company, Soft Surroundings has recently opened a store. Soft Surroundings offers beautifully designed and unique clothing, shoes, accessories, bedding and beauty & fragrance products.
On the way home, we stop in Raleigh at the NC State Farmers Market. There are two buildings to enjoy here. Building One filled with early spring plants and produce from local farms. Building Two features artisan foods, gifts and specialty items.
