While in Dublin city you should have a look for the Molly Malone Statue because if you want to take a day trip to the underground Megalithic tomb the following day (highly recommended) you could take a day trip bus from there.
On your third day you go to the airport to rent your car, and from there you will make your way South. Again you are not on a schedule so you don't have to be anywhere at any particular time but we suggest that you visit the Rock of Cashel. It is amazing but on your way there you could call into see Killkenny Castle too. You will be staying in Clonmel for two nights in Mulcahy's hotel
We suggest you take a drive down to Hook Head peninsula and visit Hook head lighthouse and enjoy the coastal drive. There are some quaint little coastal towns all around that part of the country so you can take your time before returning to your hotel.
