About this trip

Ever wanted to explore the Mediterranean on a SUP and not break the bank? Well we have the perfect trip for you planned later this year. Croatia is one of the top destinations for SUP touring in the world. The water is warm, the food is excellent and we get to enjoy the solitude and beauty of a Mediterranean island on SUP. We will stay in B&Bs with delicious breakfasts. The SUP Yoga journeys offerings include two different classes each day (SUP Yoga and Yoga), 1-3 miles of paddling in crystalline waters, and various other activities such as cycling, swimming, hiking and kayaking. Our renowned master Yoga teacher Nicole Harrow will lead all the yoga classes.

We require a 50%  non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot. We split the rest of the balance to two payments: half of the balance to be paid 60 days before the trip and half of the balance 30 days before the trip. 


We will not give any refunds within 60 days of the trip.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arriving Zadar

After arriving at the Zadar airport, you'll take a taxi or Uber to our hotel in the city center. One of our guides will meet you at the hotel and help you check in. Personal needs will be attended to such as getting a phone card, exchanging money, and getting acquainted to your surroundings. Our hotel is just steps away from the world heritage site of Zadar's Landward Gate and old city. We'll get the group together for our first dinner out and discuss the logistics of next few spectacular days! If time allows, we might even get a Yoga nidra class together!

Hello from Alameda! In 2013 I decided to leave my professional career as a Finance and HR manager at UCSF and start my own business. Before then I had been working in offices since I graduated from college and doing a lot of paddling on the weekend (mainly kayaking and rafting). I had developed severe back pain from all of the sitting activities in my life: sitting in offices and meetings, sitting at home watching tv, sitting to drive to rivers and oceans, sitting paddling in kayaks and rafts... Just sitting all the time! I realized that I needed to make a change and hence STAND UP PADDLE! SUP combines my passion of paddling and be healthy to heal my back by standing up. I am enthusiastic about teaching people how to paddle and how to stand up and love sharing my love for the sport. This sport is open to everyone! Originally from China, I have travelled the world in search of water. I was first introduced in paddling on a frozen lake in Beijing when I was a child. I love all water-based activities: kayaking, rafting, stand up paddle and surfing. I have 16 years experience in kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddling. Destinations include many parts of the San Francisco Bay, California coast and rivers in the Sierra. Paddling has also taken me to many beautiful international locations: Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Canada, Mongolia, Mexico, Hawaii, and China. However, my favorite paddle is right in my backyard: Ballena Bay of Alameda. Certifications: PaddlFit Coach level 1 to level 3, American Canoe Association (ACA) SUP instructor level 1, 2, Level 3 Whitewater, First Aid and CPR.

What a great time I had, The food and the hospitality was great. Fantastic location right on the beach and in the jungle and close to the town. Thanks to our fearless leader that showed us a great time and organizing great activities.
This trip exceeded my expectations in every possible way...we saw so many beautiful things, met fabulous people, went on great adventures, and had what felt like a much more authentic travel experience than I've had in a long time. I appreciated being encouraged to try new things as well as being given permission to relax and explore on my own; it was the perfect balance!

Best trip ever! Mike is a fabulous organizer, complements well with Marko of Malik Travels. Both are dynamic, energetic, great people persons! Excellent communications with participants regarding desires, checking in daily and following up with thoughts, feelings, mood, and the pulse of the group - no small feat with 16 participants. Malia and Nicole are amazing yoga instructors both on and off the board. I achieved a headstand with Malia's gentle, supportive coaching! I would recommend this trip to anybody and everybody who loves to be outdoors, whether or not they do yoga or SUP!
