The entire experience was meticulously organized and planned out. The hotel in Luxor was amazing! We had a lovely suite and the tallest bathroom I've ever been in. The grounds overlooking the Nile were very well cared for and provided a stunning view to enjoy all of our delicious meals from. Hassan, our tour guide/Egyptologist, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I learned so much about each of the sites. Kings Valley was incredible, and the experience would never have been so enriching without Hassan. I have many favourite moments, but one worth noting is watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I adore my pictures from the experience. I highly recommend the experience. I have so much love and appreciation for. Thank you!!! xoxox

There aren’t enough words to express how deeply grateful I am that I went on this retreat. Since returning home, I feel like I’m truly the best version of myself, thanks to the magic of this experience. Maja and Mido created a retreat where each person felt safe, seen, and appreciated. Having the opportunity to swim with dozens of spinner dolphins each day, as guests in their natural habitat, was an honour and a privilege, an experience that few people have in a lifetime. In addition, the sunrise yoga practices, beautiful sunset ceremonies celebrating our inner spirit, and many other wonderful planned and spontaneous moments, like dancing on the deck or swimming under the moonlight, filled my heart with joy. The boat crew were kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They took care of our needs at all times, ensuring our safety, comfort, and happiness, especially when it came to food! The chef was magnificent, preparing delicious meals with many options and two made-from-scratch desserts each day. My expectations were truly blown away. I’ll especially miss the daily smoothies waiting for us after each dolphin swim. Most importantly, I’ve made so many special friendships that have filled my heart to the brim. I know that many of these connections will last a lifetime. I can’t thank Maja enough for providing such a transformative experience, and I truly hope to return in the coming years. My journey began in Toronto, Canada, a long way from Egypt, but it was worth every hour, every connecting flight, and every penny. This retreat lifted my soul and healed me in so many ways. Special Mention: The additional tours after the retreat to Luxor and Cairo are both highly recommended. I only joined the Luxor portion (I had to return for my son’s birthday), and I’m so grateful I squeezed it in. The guided tours and the sunrise hot air balloon ride were absolutely spectacular! I’ve fallen in love with Ancient Egypt, its history, culture, and people, and I’ll most certainly be back. :)

Everything the boat had to offer was absolutely incredible! The food was *chefs kiss*, but the dolphins were simply the best. I did find the days to be a bit too long with too much going on. If one thing ran late (which often the 1st dolphin swim did), it meant the whole day was behind. Some more down time to relax and converse with everyone would have done wonders! Also, "organised" buses to and from the port were absolutely CHAOS. I felt there was no organisation at all and I felt we were left to our own devices during this time. Especially at the end of the week, we were told the driver had a list of where he was meant to go, which turned out to not be the case, which turned to be a nightmare trying to communicate with a language barrier. This needs to be improved for future retreats 100%, for both to and from the port. I know a few people were shocked to learn that airport transfer to and from the hotel was not included in the cost of the retreat. I noticed an uber ride to the airport was SIGNIFICANTLY less than the €15 I paid for at the beginning of the week. Also, I don't understand why we paid everything in € when we were in Egypt? All in all, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. It was such a magical, wholesome week, and one that will be cherished for quite some time! I can't wait to do another one!
