Join Adaptive Expeditions for an unforgettable 7-day winter adventure in the heart of Swedish Lapland, based at the beautiful Allégården in Bygdeträsk, Västerbotten County. From 7–14 March 2026, you’ll step into a landscape of frozen lakes, snow-covered forests and wide Arctic skies.
Working alongside expert instructors from Pole to Pole Academy, you’ll build real cold-weather skills and confidence. Through the week you’ll learn how to move safely on snow, prepare yourself and your kit for the elements, and take part in a fully supported two-night wilderness expedition across frozen terrain, including Bygdeträsket, Västerbotten’s largest lake.
Your days will be packed with hands-on Arctic experiences:
• Ice swimming followed by a traditional hot sauna
• Dog sledding through snowy forest trails (Extra Cost per person)
• Ice fishing on frozen lakes
• Open-fire cooking and winter bushcraft
• Ski and snowshoe skills
• Nature immersion sessions and starlit navigation
Evenings bring warmth, good food and time to slow down. You might head out for a Northern Lights safari, spend time around the fire, or settle in for a relaxed night with the group.
This trip is open to both disabled and non-disabled adventurers. No previous Arctic experience is needed – just a willingness to give things a go and work as part of a supportive group. Whether this is your first big challenge or the next step in your journey, this is a chance to stretch yourself, grow your confidence and discover what you’re truly capable of.
